  1. We won't get Evans, remember what Keano wants, Keano gets...
  2. Impossible have two medicals booked in over the weekend...
  3. FFS Yes the club really are a bunch of wankers. How dare they sit tight on a deal where the selling club are clearly in the wrong? Fucking idiots...
  4. Your head wouldn't be turned by a potential haul of Dos Santos, Arshavin, Pav., Bentley, and Modric compared to our Guthrie, Gutierrez and Bassong? Worse off than last year? With the potential addition of Villa to replace Berbatov? Bollocks. Harp on about their defence if you like, it's no worse than anyone else's outside the top four or five, especially no worse than ours. Daft daft daft. Read my previous posts, the signings they've made look outstanding on paper but it doesn't always work like that does it. Spurs were what something like third top scorers in the league last year, surely more attackers aren't required. Keane and Berbatov were proven top goal scorers, if they go there's no guarantee the new lads will. ...and Villa? I'll believe it when I see it. The fact is surely its a priority to solve your weaknesses then build on your strengths, Spurs don't seem to have done that. Once again their defense looks good on paper but the fact is they'll be lucky to get half a season with the lot of them playing together. Also comparing Spurs defense to our own, have you lost it? At the minute they look better than us all over the park.
  5. Like I said before, my head will be turned when they sign a decent defensive midfielder and a couple of center backs who can stay fit... Thats of course providing they don't sell Berbatov in which case they look worse off than last year.
  6. dont think i't true tbh. Think Levy is being his usual stingy self and the deal will go through eventually. Brummie, that pic makes it look like he's celebrating the goal and nothing else. btw where's kaka lately? he said we'll definately not sign Bentley because he'll be off to villa (add to that his claim that kewell will be a spurs player). If Bentley had any sense that's where he would of gone. Why? Think they're a club on the up, the one arguably most likely to break into the top four. I'd say Spurs probably are, plus the fact he's a London lad, you can easily see why he's went there. I can understand the point about London, but Spurs just seem to be spending money for the sake of it, they haven't really addressed the problem areas of last season. I'd say Villa are a couple of full backs away from being a very good outfit. They definitely look to have a better core to their side, I'll definitely say that. But Spurs are signing some cracking players at the moment, whether people like to admit this or not. I'd love to have either Modric, Bentley or Dos Santos in our side. Even if I do feel the last two are overrated. No doubt about it they've signed some real quality, it really doesn't bother me. Much like Liverpool's side though it looks like a side more equipped for Europe. The thing is you can only play so many attacking midfielder. The reason I say they seem to have no structure to their plans is they seem to be very much signing big name players. The fact is Spurs didn't have any major problems scoring goals last season, in fact if I recall they were up their with the top scorers. The fact is they couldn't defend for toffee and no one they've signed suggests thats changed, not to mention all of their foreign signings may struggle to adjust to the physicality's of the league particularly Dos Santos.

  10. Can KD or Jol confirm Spurs are struggling to find the money to finalize the Arshavin deal and its the same reason why the Pavlyuchenko deal fell through?
  11. In his defense, hindsighttastic... Actually why am I defending him, get him Tooj
  12. What's the crack then saw he was close to signing on Look North earlier
  13. So say there is a modicum of truth in Jol's claims, they will have a side something like: Gomes Hutton Woodgate King Bale Bentley Veloso Modric Dos Santos Arshavin Milito Looks good on paper but a defense that is made of glass, a midfield that looks fragile defensively and an untested strike force could be a problem.
  14. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_3875752,00.html Fabricio Coloccini has played down rumours linking him with a move away from Deportivo La Coruna. Newcastle and West Ham have been linked with a move for the rugged central defender this summer. Deportivo are determined to keep hold of Coloccini and the Argentine international says he is no rush to leave the Riazor. "As I have always said since the rumours came out, I will stay at Deportivo La Coruna," Coloccini told the Argentine press. "I am in contract and I am happy. I am perfectly well at my team and for the moment and for what I know, I will continue playing at Deportivo La Coruna. "I didn't say in any moment that I wanted to leave La Coruna or that I had a real offer. After I played the games for the the Argentinean national team I got disconnected from everything. "If I have to leave La Coruna depends on the club. It depends if they receive an important offer for my transfer. "For the moment there hasn't been any official proposal, the club hasn't received anything."
  15. This just shows what a poor outfit our club really is, we can't even get a proper injury, we'll never climb the table with a couple of hamstring strains!
  16. Its wrong to think: preseason results = premiership results preseason scores means nothing, therefore you don't really need to be winning all the time. Your wrong Owen doesn't care, Martins will move to Arsenal along with Given and our whole world will come crashing down. Ashley isn't ambitious enough to replace them I honestly do not care if we lose Martins, Owen, Viduka all in the summer transfer window as long as we get other players to replace them that are as good as or better than them. But we won't! We're struggling to attract player like Marlon King, we're doomed, championship here we come Keegan and Ashley won't stick that out... Don't worry. You should not be. Go have a great summer and have fun and keep the worrying to those working at the club. But I am worrying, Newcastle is my life!
  17. Fucking spot on son

    Taye Taiwo

Oh God, he's going to Sunderland, their team will be CLASS next year and I can see them ripping us apart in the derby

  21. relegation, f*** off we would of finished last season top 8, if keegan had been here most of the time We will fight relegation, five-a-side in training and a diet of meat pies isn't good enough.
  22. What's the point? All these players would reject us anyway, they'd rather move to Hull.
  23. It's the beginning of the end, if we can't beat teams like Doncaster then we're screwed against the might of Hull and Stoke, oh dear. If I'm honest Keegan should go now before it's too late...
  24. Why would he want to join a club battling relegation. Plus Argentinians are know for their in fighting so he would surely only fuel negativity which would eventually spread to to managerial and board room level. I can't see Keegan staying if he joins...
