Huge 15ish minutes coming up.
-
Willock needs to be carded for that attempt.
-
I swear if we don’t win…
-
They’ll never give that as a pen.
-
Oh fffffssss!!!!!!
-
Take them on Gordon, man. First touch pass was cool the first few times but he needs to start charging at them.
-
Isak’s touch sets him apart, man. Never noticed that about his game before he came here.
-
Fucking yesssss!!!!
-
Ugh.
-
Please be a good set piece.
-
Again.
-
No way this doesn’t finish 0-1. Gotta score those.
-
Holy fuck. How are we not ahead.

Christ. Longstaff.

I know he’s been all right recently but seeing Murphy start games for us is pretty sobering.

60-70m for someone on the last year of their contract? You’d think 45m tops would do it, surely. -
We’ll be fighting over the same midfielders next window for sure.

Looks a very big talent. Always has a punchably smug face on though, so hope that’s reflected in the price.
-
Glad it’s not just me who thinks a 1-0 loss is nailed on.

We could do a lot worse than raiding Southampton when they go down. Loads of great young talent there (their issue was relying on them in the most competitive league in the world).
-
@nufc123 Agree. Goes both ways; all about scouting and knowing which players have the attributes and mentality to flourish in your playing style.
-
All of those players Liverpool bought from Southampton won them a Champions League. Arsenal buying Jesus and Zinchenko may yet win them the league too.
-
@nufc123Buying players from outside the PL you mean? I’d say so, especially if they’re playing for smaller sides. There’ll be obvious exceptions where the player’s talent is so undeniable that they’d thrive in any league but it’s easy to see why buying solid performers in the PL is considered a safer bet.

I think getting good value deals from abroad is getting harder and, with the strength of the PL, massively more risky. Someone like Kone for example would go for 50m; great talent on paper, but I wouldn’t exactly call it a bargain. See also Diaby for a possible 65m, Scamacca for 35m, Antony for 80m etc.
