I really hope they keep Kane and he leaves on a free next season. While he’s obviously world class he doesn’t fit in with Angie’s high-intensity, high-pressing play style (AP sets teams up similar to Howe’s Newcastle). That’ll mean they won’t be able to do exactly what their coach wants them to do tactically, as Kane is undroppable for them. Also means Levy’s stubbornness has fucked them over financially and they have to replace Kane with money from their own coffers.

If ASM is staying (which is great imo) then you also have Gordon who’s decent, arguably better, on the right as well tbf.

Can see Ramos to Spurs should they sell Kane.

Just a Rob Holding replacement, no? The drop off when they lost Saliba to injury was catastrophic for them. If he’s good, he plays; if not, then he’s great cover.

We desperately need creativity and goals. Franca seems decent but we already have a lot of “triers” in midfield and on the wings. Someone like Maddison (and possibly DS) would have been perfect but ah well, FFP being a thing means we can’t get everything we want, all the time.

Diaby has less work rate than Maxi and would probably be more expensive than Szoboszlai. Not sure who we’ll go for but I imagine it’ll have to be a young, pacey left-footer who can press.

Livramento was being talked up as a wonderkid before his injury. While Ashby might be decent (I mean, who knows?) he’s not been able to get many senior games ahead of some mediocre names at West Ham.

Livramento can play Lb as well, I believe.

We only have 1 (albeit brilliant) CL level Rb. Ashby’s older and has a fraction of the top-flight game time that Livramento has. Trippier to Krafth, Ashby or Manquillo is biggest drop quality-wise we have in the squad. Really rate Livramento too; makes a lot of sense, this one.
