  1. They’ve been around for ages. Weirdos.
  2. Yeah, they’re just excited about their club for a change. No need to be mean and call them thickos ffs . That kid who preferred FUN88 on the front is a bit suspect though.
  3. I think we’ll see a similar spend to last summer. 120m or whatever it was.
  4. Pep is one of the best managers in the world at improving players as well. He’s the best of all time, for me.
  5. We’re at a disadvantage due to FFP for now, but we’ll be in the mix for years to come. It’s a long-term project, let’s just be thankful we’re no longer no-hopers like we were 18 months ago (and half the league) .
  6. Is he usually so forthright? For someone who calls themself a journalist you’d you’d want to give yourself an out for the sake of your reputation, no?
  7. Kone is too slow for prem football imo.
  8. Aw man. He’s the one I wanted
  9. 7 for me. Wouldn’t be the most exciting though (first 4 aside).
  10. Yeah, he’s actually pretty decent imo. Was Leeds’ best player before his injury and they fell apart without him. Wouldn’t be against it if he’s going cheap. I’d hope we’d be slightly more ambitious though. Really need this to be a transformative window if we intend to stay in the top 4.
  11. Of course it’s nebulous, at least in the short-term. We went from relegation candidates to top 4 with 120m spend. With FFP, Spurs can match our transfer spend until we sort out our commercial revenue streams. It’s not out of the realms of possibility that we finish 8th and they finish top 5/CL next season; anything can happen in football. In the short-term we’re not necessarily a better proposition is all I’m saying; most players don’t make their decision based on what will happen 5 years down the line.
  12. Besides Champions league football this season I’m not sure what we can provide that makes us more attractive than Spurs at this current moment. Bigger wages? Probably not. More exciting project? Possibly but it’s fairly nebulous and anything can happen in football. Better stadium? Nah better training facilities? Nah Better squad? On paper, no. Better city? I’d say so but many would prefer London. Better chance of finishing in the top 4 next season? I’d say that was up in the air with them being able to focus on the league. Bigger global fanbase? No Better crowd? Yes but it’s not usually key component of a players decision to sign for a club.
  13. Oh I agree but it’s probably a biased opinion. I feel we’re a season or two away (providing we finish in the top 5 and they don’t) from competing head-to-head with them on transfer targets. London, possibly the best stadium in the world, a bigger global fanbase (Spurs have over 20m followers on instagram vs. our <2m) and the fact that they’re still considered a “big 6” side just experiencing a wobble will mean many short-sighted footballers will still see them as a more attraction proposition, currently. We need to establish ourselves as not just a moneybags team that’s overachieved for a season in order to really upset the apple cart. A good showing in the CL and a top 5 finish this season will go a long way to achieving that imo.
  14. Yeah. Unfortunately though I don’t see us paying 60m for DS and I don’t see Leipzig budging on wanting the full release clause. I suspect either deal will take weeks/months of brinkmanship before it’s concluded.
  15. Maddison would pick Spurs over us if it came down to it imo.
  16. He’s not a playmaker but he’s not a terrible passer either. I said this before but I think that as soon as he gets the right coaching he’ll be unplayable.
  17. Lavia looks to be the more technical player but Onana is a unique physical specimen. Wouldn’t take much coaching from Eddie to turn him into a terrifyingly effective midfielder.
  18. Meh. Bit high but they paid close to 40 for him so it’s understandable. Lavia would be going for similar and they’re not too far apart in terms of ability/ effectiveness.
  19. Depends on the fee but I’d definitely take him. Physically he’s a perfect Eddie Howe player, absolute beast in the making and only 20/21.
  20. We all know that’s what it was introduced to do.
  21. If Ffp wasn’t a thing you could buy a league 1 side and take it to the Champions’ League with 6 billion and still have change .
  22. Pretty sure I read that he signed a new contract with a low release-clause before the World Cup.
  23. Maybe but we’re top 4 side, not a rehabilitation centre.
  24. Why no chance? It’s not like we paid big money for Ashby and Livramento is younger and infinitely more proven. Super risky going into a long season with a guy that has only played a handful of top-flight games as our back-up right-back.
  25. Not really. They’re- within the realms of shariah law- cleaning up their act across the board (albeit largely for monetary reasons)to improve their world image and improve tourism into the country . Mbs, the guy everyone is piling on nowadays, and for largely good reason, has been the spearhead for an amazing change in the country over such a short amount of time. Honestly you wouldn’t believe the sort of shit that used go on here before he came into power.
