  1. Don’t see why people are surprised that Tottenham are still considered a more attractive proposition than we are (black and white bias aside)
  2. Wouldn’t even have taken the deal if it was the other way around.
  3. We’re they’re investment- morality discussions aside- what’s good for us is good them, ultimately.
  4. For example, I know for a fact that different housing projects (technically) under the same banner are massively competing against each other for further investment/ resources/ manpower. It’ll be the same here; PIF will do what they see as best for PIF and allocate accordingly.
  5. Yeah, I think we’ve shown thus far (January windows aside) that we’ll wait until the deal suits us rather than pay the premium to get things done quicker.
  6. PIF is huge and we’re a very small part of their extremely diversified portfolio. The scale of it means there will always be conflicting interests with different arms and companies all competing for investment etc. out of the same metaphorical pot, that’s just the reality of it.
  7. Yikes. Southampton can’t catch a break .
  8. Get your guesses in, lads! Admins will pony up £50 for whoever’s right!
  9. Hope he’s working on his right one too.
  10. If anyone is desperate for some “never gonna happen” rumours: Tchouameni https://www.caughtoffside.com/2023/06/18/newcastle-willing-to-offer-club-record-fee-to-sign-23-year-old-la-liga-ace/
  11. Not saying it’s true but those teams all have very large global fanbases. We don’t, currently.
  12. His lack of pace as an lb is always a worry but he’s usually very good defensively. We also have a perfectly fine alternative in Targett. I’m more worried about what happens if Trippier were to get a lengthy injury.
  13. Yeah not many teams in world football can afford to drop 65+ million on a 26 year old. Especially in the PL with Ffp, clubs are looking at younger players to tie into longer contracts.
  14. No clue obviously but I imagine we’ll only do a deal if it’s less than 65m (pounds), which I’m not sure they’ll be willing to drop to.
  15. New report says they’re looking for 100m euros (85m pounds) for him. Unlikely that we’ll match that.
  16. Yeah, Milan is overrated unless you like shopping or risotto. Italy in general though is amazing.
  17. Seemingly lost a yard of pace and the fearlessness he once had after a big injury. Looks a shell of his former self tbh. Hopefully just a mental thing but it makes sense to cash in now while his stock is still relatively high.
  18. Why would Villa be clear favourites? Should be confident of dispatching Villa at home if we have any aspirations of being a top 4 team again.
  19. Just read that they were looking for 70m for Onana. They’ll surely be wanting Enzo money for this guy then, despite our seemingly genuine interest.
  20. He’s pretty much untouchable at Inter; he’s their best player and a fan favourite. They’d just sell someone else. The only way they’re selling imo is if it’s for silly money and that’s with the big assumption that he’d want to leave as well.
  21. How far has it gotten? One thing I will say though (and I’m clutching here) is that the Milan clubs have historically been very pally with PIF and Sela in particular.
  22. Deleted my post. It was an article in Italian but it was just referencing the sport witness article, referencing calcio mercato but with a bit more stank on it.
  23. Don’t . Love that we’re trying though.
