Some of the reactions in here… This is not like Villa. We’ve been ok - not good but it’s not terrible. Gordon should have scored, but directing much of the blame towards him seems over the top. Isak anonymous - they are crowding the middle defensively. I expect we’ll see Wilson and Isak together and still think we’re going to win.

Seems obvious to me Gordon is trying too hard. He’s been decent though aside from the fact he should have scored.

I don’t even care that much about Man United / Villa. If we win tomorrow and Spurs get any result at Anfield it’s effectively over IMO.

It’s borderline title challenging form in the games we’ve had him.

I think I've come to the conclusion now that the easiest and best way for us to improve our first XI is RW. An elite (and not one footed) player in that position would take us to another level. LB would be second for me in terms of the first XI, but equally important is someone that gives us the ability to play without Bruno (for when we need to). I'm honestly not sure we'd be in any European place without him and we cannot head into next season with that risk.

Just the small problem of it technically not being an assist. There's just something about that Willock pass. It's been on repeat in my mind since Sunday.

Obviously it’s been a good week, but I haven’t once thought about him, how he’s missing, or anything. It feels like he’s had his moment with us, which unfortunately mostly consisted of him being a ray of light in an otherwise depressing situation. He’s the most obvious player we could sell for meaningful money and I think we have to if it helps us bring in a more transformative player.

I joked about this in the match thread, but there was a moment in the first half where the referee wanted a free kick retaken. The ball rolled to Almiron on his right foot and he moved it to his left before passing back to the ref. I love this guy and he's been critical this season, but we're a better team with Murphy right now. I think Miggy's tendency to bring everything inside on his left foot is a big reason why teams seemed to have us figured out for a couple months starting with Leeds on New Year's Eve. That started a run where we scored 3 goals in 8 league games. In the 8 games since he was rested and then injured we've scored 23 goals. There are many reasons why this is an unfair comparison - distracted by the LC, no Bruno for 3 games, Isak, Wilson returning to form, etc. and Miggy got the winner v. Wolves off the bench - but the balance down the right is an important part of our return to form.

Everton may not have punished us regardless, but the first half could have gone very differently without him. He relieved pressure multiple times when the rest of the team could barely kick a ball.

Forest also provided us with an unexpected 20m. That was more lucrative than the Europa League.
