  1. Things are settling down a bit. For all the huffing and puffing and the poor start by us they didn't do anything.
  2. Absolute mess so far between their penalty area and midfield.
  3. One goal and it will become toxic. Just need to see out these first few minutes.
  4. After seeing that aerial view of Goodison it's a real shame it's going away.
  5. N-O three hours from now: "Last time I doubt Eddie" N-O on Sunday: "Not sure about this XI"
  6. N-O in the last month: "for the love of god put Burn out of his misery / where the fuck is Targett?" <Targett starts> N-O: "not sure about Targett here ... sitting Burn is a mistake"
  7. 0-2 please for the satisfaction of 125 years of playing them resulting in a complete deadlock.
  8. This may look dumb in a few hours, but I'm feeling pretty confident that we embarrassed Spurs so badly that we're going to see a positive reaction out of them in the next two games.
  9. Not a must-win from a points standpoint, but it is for the nerves. I have no doubt we'll take care of Southampton on Sunday. A win tonight and I'll be looking more at the possibility of 3rd than the fear of 5th.
  10. There is no doubt in my mind if this game was at Anfield and it happened the other way they'd be getting a pen right now.
  11. Win the two games in hand - 10 behind Win the head to head - 7 behind with four to play I'm going to say no.
  12. They will, they aren't anything special. And even if they don't we need 4 wins and a draw.
  13. Fucking hate Liverpool so much
  14. I still can't believe Pickford is the first choice England keeper.
  15. Agree, it makes the most sense. The ability to rest Bruno / have adequate cover in the event of injury is crucial.
  16. With him this season our points per game aren’t far off Arsenal and City. In the six games without him (admittedly small sample) our points per game are only better than Southampton. Hope to fuck he’s playing.
  17. Great timing for us really. Going to be a huge challenge for us to maintain this kind of league form while also competing in Europe. We can worry about that more in a month though.
  18. If I’m not missing anything we’ve only won there twice since 2001 and six times since 1960.
  19. Forgiveness, not permission.
  20. A 2-0 win would put us on completely level terms in 174 matches played.
  21. They definitely released some of it - not sure about all. You can still buy two on-field seats for $2,500.
  22. This thread would have half as many pages if we were all able to remain logical. We're third in the table with a 6-10 point lead on our rivals. We have a GD that is becoming more insurmountable by the week for all but Liverpool We have the 6th best home record and the 3rd best away record. We are the 3rd most in form side behind only City and Villa (7th in home form, 4th in away form). We've lost 4 games all season (two of them without our best player). 4 of our final 7 games are at home, including the hardest two (Arsenal and Brighton) 4 of our final 7 games are against teams battling relegation, which you could twist as a negative but the fact is those teams aren't very good Going back to Feb. 1 of last year we have been the 4th best team in the league (one point worse off than Liverpool) If you were a fan of a club chasing us the loss at Villa may have provided a glimmer of hope and then you watched Newcastle respond with arguably the best performance by anyone this season. At this point you're likely thinking a rash of injuries and suspensions are the only chance, or maybe you've turned your full attention to Manchester United who are already dealing with injuries, a worse GD, a difficult stretch coming up, and also a huge cup final to think about.
