I'm not saying we should sign him for commercial reasons and I agree I'd prefer to look elsewhere, but there's no doubt it would be a financial win. I'm guessing more Newcastle shirts would be sold in America in the first 6 months than have been sold in the history of the club. And if we continue on the path to success and he turned things around here? NUFC would be one of the most popular clubs in the US.

From a financial standpoint there are few players we could sign who would be more impactful than Pulisic.

From a psychological standpoint I can't imagine there's ever been a more interesting penalty than Kane's second. Club teammates of the last 8-10 years after already having had one -- the things they must have been recalling from past games, training, etc.

For no real reason at all this feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth.

I think we'd get more attention from them given where we're likely heading.

Following things on here is always more stressful. Unless we're winning 4-0 it always seems like it's the worst performance of all time and half the team has died during the match.

Even if we lost it was obviously the right decision. You can't play the same team in every single game.

My two favorite things about that game: 1) Didn't play very well and still won 2) Played 7 minutes of added time and I think the ball was in our own half for a minute at most. What a comfortable way to see a game out.

The only reason people are disappointed is because: 1) The business done in January and this summer has been outstanding (minus the Chris Wood panic buy) 2) The manager the new owners appointed has been better than anyone could have possibly imagined This has people dreaming of top 6 and beyond when the reality is, from a financial and squad building perspective, we are still years away. If you look back at where we were last summer or even the squad and our place in the table on the last day of 2021 it would be impossible to be disappointed right now. And if you do that and you're still annoyed right now then blame Mike Ashley because if we had literally anyone another club wanted to buy for a decent amount of money then we'd probably have another 1 or 2 in the door.

Never seen him play, but happy about this. These are the types of signings we will need (and I think will look) to make more of over the next few windows.

To describe any part of the business we've done in the last two windows as "shocking" is a complete overreaction.
