Come on Ukraine
-
I haven't been following this closely - what's the supposed problem with the stadium funding?
-
Yeah, there's no way if this happened to us we'd all be like "well, we're randomly in a relegation battle but at least the other teams are shit."
-
The best thing about this is Everton will not go quietly about the other clubs accused of breaking rules. Might actually sort this whole thing out (or blow it up).
-
Wow, going to be a lot of ‘what about City’ commentary now.
-
This is a dumb thing to complain about but it’s kind of annoying that our two most promising youngsters play the same position as our two best players. And those two happen to be (knocks on all the wood) two of the only fit players at the moment. There is no luck.
-
Isak and Barnes back for even part of the next insane stretch of games would be a huge boost. Fearing the worst on Botman.
-
We're going to be awesome in a few years.
-
Maddison is a bigger singular injury than any player we've lost. He's been key to everything they do. #1 in the PL in chances created per 90, #2 in total chances created behind only Trippier, and ludicrously far ahead of everyone in shot creating actions. He's second across all of Europe's top 5 leagues behind only Dembele. He's also #1 in goal creating actions and #2 per 90 behind only Doku, who has almost half as many minutes. Player of the Season type of impact through 11 games.

Starting in October so 2017 really the beginning. It's hard to evaluate as your never know who's making the decisions, which players were recommended but not purchased, etc. 2017 - Lukaku, Sanchez, Matic, Lindelof 2018 - Fred, Dalot 2019 - Maguire, Fernandes, James, Wan-Bissaka 2020 - van de Beek, Diallo, Telles, Pellistri 2021 - Sancho, Varane
-
Don't think he's trained yesterday though. Similar situation.
-
If Maddison and Wilson come out you'd have to think Gordon could be a possibility. I'd be very happy for him, but he really needs a break too (though he probably wouldn't play).
-
Maddison also hurt and was named to the squad. I don't think it means anything and would still be shocked if we risk him on Saturday.
-
Yes, but it has trusses across. It's also kind of a pathetic screen.
-
I can't believe Rashford got sent off for that. That's an absolutely ridiculous decision.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

I think England will be fine anyway but finishing ahead of Milan would definitely be beneficial. -

As someone who regularly talks about it I agree. It's depressing, but it's so important for FFP and for the prestige to attract quality players. -

If we end up in it I'll certainly hope we make a deep run. But I really can't understand preferring it to even a chance of making the Champions League knockout rounds. Imagine being in that fucking draw and a knockout game at SJP. Not to mention that the money starts to get insane. You get £10m+ for making the Round of 16 and it only escalates from there. -
I said in the match thread that I hope he starts in place of Bruno (if he's fit enough of course). It seems like the only move we can make that let's us keep the rest of the team as it's been. Otherwise we're looking at something like Joelinton and Hall in midfield and Willock LW. I'd much prefer to give Miley a chance.
-
Gordon is a better option up front than either of them.
-
Where would this team finish in the Premier League if managed by Eddie? Barnes. Isak. Murphy Anderson Tonali. Longstaff Targett Burn. Botman. Manquillo Dubravka

Even in that scenario it would be meaningful to Milan and we can pay them back for Tonali. But I like Dortmund’s chances to get a point. -
If a manager from a 'lesser' club said exactly what he said they'd throw the book at him to send a message. The weakness in letting this go now is only going to make things worse in the future.
-
Pretty sure we'll see Gordon up front and I assume Miggy comes back in. I think I'd bring in Miley for this so that everything else can stay as is. Livramento should be the LB.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

The stats for tonight look very similar to their 3-0 win over Milan at home. They've had between 62% and 73% possession in all four CL games so far, so they are going to dominate the ball.
