From Ryder:

It's probably nonsense, but seeing some things on Twitter that we're ok offloading him as long as we get the original fee back.
-
Would have to be a loan or a gamble on someone from abroad.

Don't think I'd sell Gayle to get a loan player in. I'd sell him to fund a top new striker permanent signing. We're not getting a top new striker for 20M (if we even got that for Gayle and were willing to spend it).
-
Sell Gayle, get Origi on loan, use additional funds to strengthen elsewhere? Seems sensible if we had more than 48 hours and a clue.
-
If he wanted to sell us, he'd probably set a reasonable price, he hasn't done that in the past five years, what makes you think he's suddenly going to do it in the next twelve months? The small hope I have of Ashley selling up has nothing to do with him being reasonable. It's all based on the fact that someone could see the upside in this club and won't blink at £400M+.

No idea if this is legit, but says that we value Tagliafico at 3.5m while they want 5m. Sounds about right. https://www.ole.com.ar/independiente/oferta-newcastle-tagliafico-inglaterra_0_1859214108.html

I mainly hate them for the way Arsenal fans in the US carry themselves. For so many there's this unspoken attitude that they are better than those who support Man Utd., Chelsea, City, and even Liverpool. Like they didn't choose Arsenal for the same reason (winning), but instead because of some pure love of football reason. They also think they have been through such tough times finishing fourth regularly. Fuck right off.
-
Kind of hope they do - been waiting a few years for the wheels to fall off at Arsenal. If they pick the wrong guy after Wenger it could take them a decade to get back to where they were.
-
Arsenal should ask for whatever Man City were going to pay anyway + Aguero.
-
Rafa or not, we weren't going to attract anyone with 1-2 year contracts. Sels and Lazaar were misses - Hanely was bought to be a first choice CB (or at least competing for it). Hard to fault and I'd be surprised if he doesn't go in the next few days.
-
There's a (stupidly) optimistic side of me that thinks 2-3 additions will pop up in the next 48 hours. More likely we'll get an underwhelming loan and be done.
-
I think Sammy contributed more than the two de Jongs combined, not to mention Shola and his mackem exploits. It's not close.
-
Aye Cisse and the lets get murdered for 89 minutes and then 'donk' headed Andy Carroll equaliser game They had all the possession but they didn't murder us that day. Would gladly take a similar gameplan and performance 2 weeks from now.
-
Kind of hope Mbappe becomes the best player in the world just so Neymar is in someone else's shadow.
-
Cattermole is definitely worse than Colback.
-
I'd bring Yedlin in for Manquillo for sure.
-
Love this man already. He's going to be so much better a few months from now too.
-
Usually when a team has 60%+ possession it is obvious. West Ham had 63% and I can't think of what the hell they were doing with it. We were extremely comfortable. Everyone (bar Elliot) deserves a lot of credit for that performance. Great effort.
-
I'm not sure what we'll do but We are going to lose a lot of mobility with Shelvey coming in for either Hayden or Merino.
-
They are such a mess as the back. We could get another couple if we keep up this pace.
