  1. Good, it would be disappointing if his time there ended with anything other than a relegation.
  2. They've won one game since January 2. It happened to be 2 days ago. Now you think they are world beaters?
  3. I wish he had gotten more time yesterday. He was solid, even won the ball back a few times which I didn't think was possible without him shattering into a million pieces. Think I agree that he should start ahead of Perez at the moment.
  4. I started screaming about how genetic differences don't warrant a foul.
  5. I agree with everything there except his speed...I think he's slower than people give him credit for. He can accelerate well but I don't recall him beating his man much - possibly because he also lacks the strength. To me it's obvious he's always going to cut inside, easy to defend against that when you know it's going to be happening every time. Agreed on the speed. He's nowhere near as fast as I remembered (imagined?).
  6. I'm at a 7.5. If we lose to Norwich it will be a 9.5.

    Papiss Cissé

I've been fed up with Cisse for awhile now, but I instantly felt like we might score when he came on.
  8. Pretty sure that was for an injury. NBC commentators mentioned him limping.
  9. Biggest thing I learned from that is he's only been in charge 9 days. Ridiculous - feels like three times as long.
  10. Dreadful today. Miracle we weren't down to 10 in the first half. Hope we don't see him again this season... or ever.
  11. Thought he was one of our best players today. He's stronger in possession than I thought. Also, he really seems to care which is refreshing.
  12. Cisse and De Jong are nice options off the bench depending on how the games going.
  13. I think it's safe to say this is the biggest derby since the 1990 playoff. Is it our biggest league game since Man Utd in 1996?
  14. I'm starting to think we might be kind of awesome tomorrow (relatively speaking). Rafa has now had a whole week after seeing the team play first hand. We've been significantly better at home all season. The atmosphere is going to be electric. Tomorrow is going to be our day.
  15. It's not even close. Pardew going down would be probably the funniest thing I've seen in football. Absolutely. I like being in the same division as Sunderland. Need the derbies.
  16. Everton 1-2 Arsenal Chelsea 2-0 West Ham Crystal Palace 1-3 Leicester Watford 1-1 Stoke West Brom 1-0 Norwich Swansea 2-0 Aston Villa Newcastle 2-0 Sunderland Southampton 1-1 Liverpool Man City 0-0 Man Utd Tottenham 2-0 Bournemouth
  17. Confident he will be a very good player for us if given time, particularly if Rafa stays on.
  18. Some good stuff here from Townsend: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-winger-andros-townsend-says-7587687#ICID=sharebar_twitter
  19. Woke up last night in a panic after having a dream where we lost this game 8-0. They scored five goals in the first 10 minutes. Rafa quit after the game. Thought we actually lost when I first woke up. Terrible feeling.

    Arsene Wenger

If Arsenal force Wenger out I hope they drop like a stone. Consistent 3rd and 4th place finishes won't seem so bad when they are playing away to Alkmaar on a Thursday night.
