If Arsenal force Wenger out I hope they drop like a stone. Consistent 3rd and 4th place finishes won't seem so bad when they are playing away to Alkmaar on a Thursday night.

Reminded of the great M83 debate of '15. I think differing use of are/is is just convention rather than a frightening glimpse into our franchise obsessed psyche. see : http://itre.cis.upenn.edu/~myl/languagelog/archives/001874.html, http://blog.oxforddictionaries.com/2011/09/agreement-over-collective-nouns/ and others Yeah, this is just about grammar. Nothing more. People do say 'we' and 'we are.' Anyone who says 'we is' doesn't know how to speak. Also, that's a hugely contentious point in America. Someone will say 'we' talking about their team and someone with nothing better to add will respond with "you play for them now?"

Leicester forces 50-50s to go their way. It's amazing how hard they work in an intelligent, controlled way.

He's definitely not garbage. He's 22 years old. That's a baby in CB age. If we stay up I'm hopeful Benitez and his staff can at least make him a solid squad player. If we go down, he will likely be vitally important next season.

The way they press relentlessly is unreal. It all starts with Vardy, can't even relax on a pass back to the keeper. Kante is everywhere. When you combine that with our nerves and low confidence it's not surprising we struggled to pass the ball at times. On the whole we were so much better than almost every away game this season. No one could have complained if we got a point. The Townsend sub and change in formation put us on top. Nice we have a manager capable of that. Unfortunately, Ranieri responded with a change that leveled things out again. Promising signs, just hope we can play a smart game in the derby. If the occasion doesn't get to us I think we'll win.

So De Jong's eye magically healed upon the Spaniard's arrival? -
Sounds like things were pretty grim behind the scenes. He clearly lost the players awhile ago. Makes it even more baffling that we stuck with him through the Feb. break.

Massively inconvenient time today. It is nice the derby is an hour later though. -
Yup, winning 5 games would likely makes us very comfortable in the end.

Don't we all. Anything other than a humiliating defeat could be seen as progress. A win and I'd say we're as good as safe. We'd be flying into the derby for the first time in ages. -
Every time I start to think TCD is ok he comes out with shit like that.

For some reason I have a feeling Benitez and his staff are going to turn Colback into a serviceable player. It's possible I'm just delirious from the last 48 hours.

City are so frustrating.

The pressure is rightfully on Wenger this year like, considering what other clubs are doing at the top of the league. He also still hasn't strengthened at CB, CM and striker which they have been missing for years. All valid but the banners directed at Wenger are embarrassing. One of the greatest managers the club and the country have and will ever see.
