With the SAF and KK examples you're talking about all aspects of the club and what a manager impacts. It's obviously much higher looking at it with that scope. Pardew a little less because it's unclear what his involvement is with transfers. When you break it down to a single game, I still think it's higher than 20% but I think the players have a greater influence on the result.

Would love Ronaldo in the PL. Miss watching him regularly to be honest.

They're just so awful from top to bottom. The MLS is getting better though. One of the weirdest things are the shitty salaries players get, as opposed to the monster packages they get over here, makes teams more relatable somehow. Outside of Chivas, NYRB is the worst. Nobody cares about it. It's what they get for putting the stadium in Harrison, NJ. I really don't think Harrison is the issue. For starters, Harrison/Kearny is one of the few areas you'll go and see kids kicking a soccer ball down the street instead of basketball/football/baseball. Unfortunately most of these people are probably priced out. I also think they do an awful job of marketing the team. I had the following exchange with a co-worker who's in his mid-20's, likes sports, lives in NJ and works in NYC (should be a major target): Him: Is there a team in NJ? Me: Yes, the Red Bulls Him: Oh yeah, I've heard of them. They play at Giants Stadium, right? Part of it they can't help. The Yankees/Mets dominate the summer. The Giants/Jets dominate the fall. Add in the Knick/Nets/Rangers/Islanders/Devils and there isn't much room. People in this area flock to the big-name friendlies that come through though, so the Red Bulls name/image definitely has to take some blame.

I'll say it now before the bashing brigade comes in. Not his fault today. We could have just as easily finished off a 2-0 win and an excellent 2nd half performance away from home. A mix of poor finishing and comical defending cost us the game, but it shouldn't take away from the positives. There was really only a 15 minute spell in the first half where they were on top.

Good results for us today. If QPR catch us we're going down in embarrassing fashion. Would much prefer to keep Southampton below, not that I'm even worried about relegation anymore. We're worlds better than the teams below us.
