I always think the Smoggies are desperate to be hated by someone, just to be relevant. They seem to have issues with Leeds, Sunderland and Newcastle and not one of those clubs really give that much of a shit about Boro

So far we've won 5/6 and lost 1. We have then won 2 games which I hadn't identified as more winnable, (against Man United and Spurs), thus putting us a win ahead of what I'd originally thought. With 2 wins from those identified 2 games we'd be virtually in the champions league with only a single point required. I think Champions League has to be our next target points wise, but after that (if there's time left) I'd love to see us target beating our highest ever point total in the Premier League, which, to my knowledge would require us to win every remaining game. Can see Arsenal being a draw though...

As usual was sang far too fast, but then small pockets re-sang slower. Its catching on, just needs to be sung slower when it's quieter and it'll catch properly, except there's very little opportunity for that in the Strawberry Corner at present. Atmosphere may have been flat around the ground but the Strawberry Corner was fairly non stop or at least pockets of it.

When you read through all of the other Newcastle related football threads, you'll find that all of them point back to Eddie Howe's managerial prowess like. The balance of chemistry, the filtering players in wherever possible and really ensuring they're in an optimal state to give 100%, the interviews where doesn't get carried away but then the touchline flashes he has after clearly trying to be reasonable in the outset. The signings, the putting others first but letting them know he is the leader. Responsible, accountable, sensible and above all else developing...
