Wor Flags: visit worflags.org.uk/donate to support future displays

Haha sadly not but great idea from the lads/lasses. I have to admit I wasn't keen on a remake but it appears to be going down a storm. -
Literally does, aye. It's mental though, like so exciting but just feels relentless. Probably moreso than ever before.
-
Yeah, you'd think so. It can work two ways though, perhaps it'll motivate some to prove their worth, it should have already done that with the new ownership tbf. Alternatively, it'll make players lose confidence and faith in their own ability.

Exactly

I'd probably be fine with another £12m signing for him (Alonso) tbh. Two solid full backs for a year or two for £24m. Digne can fuck off if he doesn't wanna be here (Yes, you can ridicule me for this once we sign him)
-
Would yous take Alonso if they bought Digne?

Wasn't really sure where to put this, but does this not all feel incredibly alien? Like every day I see us linked with about 4 new players, most of which I've never heard of, and despite being 2nd bottom, with the lowest points total at this stage for us in our history, we've filled a 52k stadium for an FA Cup 3rd round vs a League One side and genuinely don't believe we're going down whatsoever. It's just so strange. I'm just praying I don't get some bad reality check...

I want to look but simultaneously don't. I'm sure it's absolutely astonishingly hilarious but I just find them like, exceptionally weird.

It's a bit ridiculous tbh like. Like, I hate Sunderland, obviously, but I can at least look at it with some objectivity. Can see they're a big(ish) sleeping giant who are below where they should be and can see how their city has become what it's become. They have a passionate and fairly large fan base, a decent stadium (albeit on an industrial estate) and a fairly decent history. But the way they obsess about us and the massive chip on their shoulder really prevents them from ever being the best they can be. Like if Sunderland signed someone half decent (for them) , like Dwight Gayle in 5 years time ( ) , I wouldn't automatically say Gayle was shit. Ridiculous.

I must admit like, I say "Chooreefoh" for Chorizo and "Halahpenyo" for Jalapeño like. I like to try and make the effort. Even if some think I'm a peenees.

Good lord. What makes Gabon want to play a suburban team of Newcastle

What is the actual crack with this

Aside from anything else, I think we need to take the chance of a 'comfortable' win going into the second half of the season. Cambridge or not, we've only won 1 game and it's imperative we get that winning feeling back going into our next league games. I feel the one thing we have that others don't is positivity, everyone is looking over their shoulder at us. If we have confidence (and new signings) too, then we'll comfortably stay up I reckon.

Twitter is a cesspit like
-
Aye, neither side of this trivial debate are particularly likeable tbh. I have no issue with Downie or Graves but Sky can get to fuck generally like
-
I've had a few Twitter spats with Luke Edwards, and I generally just feel he's a condescending prick, a wind up merchant and just generally a bit of a child. He won't ever hit higher levels because he's more obsessed with arguing and generally being petty. I don't particularly like Sky and do think Luke is right to highlight these concerns but he's doing it on the wrong platform and it just makes him lose credibility (if he has any) and doesn't look good for the newspaper he's paid to represent.
-
Cheers for clarifying. So Edwards kinda has a fair point, I guess. Not really the best/most of professional ways to raise it though, like I suspect his bosses wouldn't be overly pleased... Just pathetically childish to play it out over Twitter.
-
I don't get this craic with Luke Edwards? Is he annoyed because he thinks Sky are taking credit for what other 'journalists' have supposedly discovered?
-
"[Insert player name]... He's one of our own." God awful.
-
I think I'd prefer a Burnley win to a Leeds win. It drags Leeds amongst it more and keeps us within more reach of more teams.
-
Yeah, I have no doubt about Hillsborough, but I just think it's like part of their make up because of that, that they seem to whinge about how hard done to they are all the time. I think it develops a siege mentality that's made them successful to be honest. It's just really irritating.

Transfer Poll - What do you think will happen ?
Heron replied to South-Cheshire-Toon's topic in Football
I reckon we'll get someone in immediately like Trippier and then there'll be a week or two before anyone else. Have a feeling we'll only sign 2 or 3 players too but they'll be very sensible, robust signings.
