    Sad mackem bastards.
  2. Back to being confident for this now we're getting Wood.
  3. sorry mate. All these tree jokes a barking mad. Been a long weekend but we'll be oaky.
  4. I heard Portland Timbers got in with a late deal.
  5. Wood might not pull up any trees, but I'd not leaf him out of potential options just yet.
  6. It's one thing to be a bad loser but his attitude on the pitch isn't good enough either. Strutting about with that floppy-I'm-trying-to-look-like-I'm-putting-a-shift-in-but-actually-doing-fuck-all jog that he seemingly does every time we're behind is counter intuitive to what we need right now. Just keep it simple, go back to basics, graft and show moments of class in the right time and place. Fans will applaud and get behind that and together we'll get out the shit. He was given free licence under Bruce and was made the big fish in a very small pond. That is no longer the case. I like the lad, he is good crack and is evidently a very talented dribbler but if he really wants to be the greatest showman he really needs to egt his act together.
  7. Huge game this folk. Bring scarves, flags, hats, plenty black and white and let's get behind them.
  8. What would your line up have been?
  9. Perhaps. Had little to do yesterday until that moment tbf.
  10. Personally feel this is a harsh take on Howe. If players 2 divisions above their opponent cannot show sufficient confidence to go at them and/or enough professionalism to put them to bed then there's an attitude/mentality issue. Whilst that is to some degree Howe's job to achieve, he's got a squad with one win all season. The players need to take it upon themselves to get their collective heads out there arses and show why they want to be a part of this motion. If they're not upto it mentally, then they need shifting ASAP. There was poor decision making all across the pitch yesterday but particularly in the final third, the tactics weren't the issue, the lack of awareness of players and conviction was.
  11. I really like Dubravka but just like a lot of the side his confidence is shot. There weren't enough leaders on the pitch yesterday to get the teams' collective heads out there arses. I hope that happens with the introduction of Trippier et al.
  12. We've drawn since the 6th,haven't we? So nope. However, on yesterday's showing I'm glad we haven't come up against them in the cup.
  13. Always get loads of divvies on early cup games like. Numerous shit songs yesterday, people need a slap.
  14. Shows the fickleness of football fans... I'm now genuinely concerned, what with Wilson's injury and yesterday's display...
  15. All too predictable isn't it mate... Said this last night - the last few months have been a microcosm of being a Newcastle United fan: shit owners and a shit manager get replaced by rich owners and a good manager, and we've failed to capitalise at every stage. Owners come in and don't sack Bruce, so we don't capitalise on the feel good factor vs spurs. Then Howe comes in and gets covid so he's not at his first game and we fail to capitalise. Then Clark makes a stupid decision that gets him sent off and we fail to capitalise vs Norwich. We sign Trippier and then fail to capitalise vs League One opposition when we desperately needed a confidence booster. Hopefully this all becomes a distant feeling in years to come, but to date it feels like we're strung along and not allowed nice things - there's a carrot in front of the donkey that is NUFC and we just keep on trying to get it and missing.

Ups his attitude or can fuck off.
  17. I'd like to think a lot of home truths have been told behind closed doors tonight.
  18. First and foremost, hats off to a team what...? 40 positions below us or some shit. Better team on the day and deserved winners. Came with a game plan. Executed it. Fans came in numbers, half of which were day trippers (or so I'm told), but they gave as good as they got (well not really. Much better than that!) and will go home after a good, heavy night on the toon where they can be proud of their club and town. My friends and I, and many others it seemed, managed to remove what bitterness was there in an attempt to accept our failings and appreciate the obstacle overcome as a neutral. Having spoke to a few Cambridge fans, they had nothing but love for Newcastle, despite supporting Liverpool and Chelsea and using Cambridge as their 'local' side. I take great pride in that. One guy said can we sing "Amber Army" as defiant fans sang "Eddie Howe's..." and I said "Yeah, if you want me to outsing you". Games like today make you realise what football is all about, neutrally. However, massive however, what we collectively saw today was nothing short of a disgrace. I've never been so angry at my own team in all honesty. We lacked confidence, we lacked composure, we lacked creativity, but most of all courage, reliability and responsibility. We were psyhcologically not up to it today. Complacency? Perhaps. Arrogance? Maybe. But at 1-0 down I got the impression only half understood the enormity of the situation, which frankly, massively concerns me. We were in absilutely desperate need of a striker tonight and leaders on the pitch. A week ago I was convinced we'd stay up. Now I have no such hope. We need charachter. In abundance. Not showmen, or mercanaries.
  19. Needs to get his head out his fucking arse. Lovely kid, but a lot of showmanship and nee end product at present. To the teams detriment.

    Lucas Digne

A lot of it is probably just talk and speculation but if he's wanting that much and isn't too arsed about coming here, I'd just sack him off me. Especially if Rafa thinks he's a bad egg.

Have Sky verified it as noteworthy yet?
