Sissoko gets more criticism for his bad attitude and lack of professionalism. Again in hindsight the likes have Wijnaldum should have got as much (if not more) but Moussa only got what he deserved. To this day Dummett gets slated by half our fans and I'd rather 11 Dummetts than Sissokos. Regardless of position.

People used to slate Jonas but even with one bollock he had more than this twat, and more technical ability at that. Moussa Sissoko should be part of the French relay team or something of similar ilk cause he isn't a footballer. He was only a threat because of his athleticism and he only ever used that when he wanted to. He could be one of the most effective players on your team when used against the right opposition who in turn were using the wrong tactics to suppress him and that's about it. Rafa got the best out of him both as a player and as an asset and now he has fucked off he has been sussed for what he is - a mercenary of the highest order, with little to back it up. It's not all his fault though - it's as much the club's in advertising itself as a stepping stone and us employing dickhead managers who cannot motivate people. With a little bit of hindsight I can somewhat forgive Sissoko from that point of view. Comparing this twat to Colo too...People need to remember the club was shitting on one of his best mates and didn't support him at all through a tough time. That, accompanied by the woeful running of the club and being surrounded by the second batch of mercenary twats after making the same mistakes as previous is enough to de-motivate anyone...Even fans were turning against the stewardship of the club. It's not the same thing and whilst he had a responsibility as captain I have nowt bad to say about Colo.

When Villa scored I'd say that was the loudest I've ever heard SJP in my 35 years of going there. It was a totally diffferent roar to the one that greets a goal. From the Gallowgate it seemed to start over in the Milburn Stand, then into our end and around the East stand into the Leazes. Probably sounded totally different to people in other stands though. The best way to describe it would be like thunder that starts of as a deap rumble and just gets louder and louder because the storm is actually right above you! Remember turning to the bairn and he was just stood there with his hands covering his ears and a slightly scared look on his face! Class. When you watch that video like "We are the champions" sounds mint but mainly because of the Geordie accent. It's that deep "We". That's why the Dutch sound good with songs and the Scots and Germans. Absolutely bellows out. Was so bizarre that roar like. It must have came on the big screens did it? Cause for so many people to ust know at the same time was bizarre. It didn't come on the big screen, it happened because most people were phoning others as nobody could access a decent mobile data signal and couldn't get online for updates. Just seemed to be instantaneous. I think a lot of people just assumed it was correct after the minorities reactions too

How did the stewards not run on

That video is immense. It just goes to show how the noise travels in St James when it gets going. You'd shit yourself as an away player if it was like that all the time. We are the champions sounded immense. Have to make it really hard for teams when they come here next season from a fans point of view. Just boo every cunt
-
Doubt it for that price, or certainly not as a certainty.
-
Talented as in athleticism aye. His technical ability is shite.
-
That was purely man management. He knew Moussa could be a threat on his day and tried to bring that out of him. It worked.
-
Not a fucking bean. Wouldn't take the cunt on a free. Same. Not worth the hassle in the dressing room
-
I wouldn't care he only has to run several yards to the back of his net too

Brexit, Prexit and Chinese back exits, nee cash and nee assets, Moyes and Short have just wrecked it.

Yewropeyen cup man. Not like your micky mouse inter cities cup. FTM

Aye. For me it's a case of signing relatively youthful but experienced players in those 3 positions then the ones on the flanks can be owt so long as they're good enough. A good quality number ten would bolster the midfield without the ball and be the link between them and the striker. If we create enough chances (which we will with a good number ten) then Gayle, Perez and Mitro should suffice as options for now. Alternatively we sign a better version of Mitrovic and play the likes of Gayle or Perez off them. I like Perez as a striker personally. I think he makes intelligent runs and can be a bigger threat there, but he's just a tad lightweight and that's why Gayle is better. If we can stop teams and keep the ball though we'll have a successful season. the wins will come if we can do that
-
Why in that order? The reason I reckon that order is because we simply won't be one of the strongest attacking teams in the division after one window and not only that we're a young and naive team playing up against world cup and European cup winners. A steady head at the back who reads the game and can play the ball about will bring confidence to the keeper, defence and midfield and will allow them all to do their jobs better. It also would take the weight of the captaincy from Lascelles (we should sign someone captain material) so that both he and Clark are focusing solely on their own game and improving. If we tighten up the back and then midfield then we have a solid platform to build upon and if we just consolidate our position in the league we can kick on from there. We're more than capable of retaining possession so chances will always come albeit maybe not as many as if we went all out attack. But 38 draws virtually provides you with safety so keeping goals out is more important than chancing it on a few occasional wins at the level we are at. Not entertaining or very positive I know. I just think it's steady and solid and probably more like what Rafa would do.

If we're talking CM's we need a box to box CM who is physical and basic as a priority. Shelvey can be our playmaker at the level we will be at...especially with dangerous wingers. A better version of Tiote...like a Kante but someone more realistic.
-
I'm happy that we're moving in the market more than anything. Good squad signing and capable of being an alternative option / threat for us. CB, CM then #9 /#10 are the key signings to be made and in that order.
-
That's a fair point. Don't see the point in us selling him unless we get a decent return on his original fee though.

At Sheffield United (a) they were doyls too

Think the reality is somewhere between what people are arguing like (as always)... If we got say 10million for him and signed a player that we knew could do the job and be the answer for 20million his sale would be worthwhile. However, if you're wanting to spend just 10million and sell him for 10million I'm not so sure you'd make much progress in the market. Like Atsu he shows glimpses of what he can do and would probably get better with more game time. He isn't great at reading the game and that lack of mental pace is his biggest killer, watching players instead of the ball when in flight affects the number of headers he wins. Not anticipating the ball going wide before he finally makes his run into the box means he isn't in the right place at the right time and his petulance means that after one mistake his head goes down and frustration sets in. The flip side of that is that he is young and has time to develop, whilst his passion is also his pain in terms of performance it is also the driving factor that will make him improve. The right thing to do for me is to keep him for a year and sign that 15/20million striker who has the experience and knowledge to help develop Mitro. Whilst it is vital for a striker to get goals it's more important for the team to. What do I want to see - Mitro get the golden boot or Newcastle win the league? (Unlikely extremities I know...But then people are comparing with Shearer in here as well.) I suspect he is an important part of the changing room for nothing other than his shear desire. Clubs need people like that. Give him another year and see what happens. Regardless of what happens this summer though. I'm very happy for Mitro that he has had this season as an experience. I think he will treasure that last game for many years to come.
