On TalkSport there was a canny debate between Savage and a Stoke fan yesterday. Stoke fan turned out to be a bit of a gimp...and I cannot stand Savage. He (the Stoke fan) was claiming they could get Benitez or the Sevilla manager and they should sack Hughes as he cannot take them any further and his football is shit. Savage said at the top of the programme that the Stoke fans calling for his head were delusional idiots.

I've enjoyed this season in that we've been able to enjoy winning for a change and seeing proper fans of some proper clubs and not all the Jonny come lately wankers in the premier league. Won't miss the terrible refereeing and overall quality of the league and complacency of our own fans and players like. Even myself to a degree. Scoring will feel so much more important and less expected next year. Glad to see the back of our lot taking the piss out of genuine fans though. Singing your support is fucking shit to the likes of Cardiff is awful craic

Perez has been a lot more solid recently. Not sure if it's finally sunk in or if he realises he wants to be at a Premier League club and a starter at that. Technically one of (if not) our best player. Reads the game fantastically and is an intelligent player. Will be protected a lot more next year and will be an important member of the squad for me. All that big said he has had a tough and bumpy ride this season. Cannot say it wasn't expected like personally.

If we're lucky we'll get a pink and yellow can of cream soda

I suspect at least one person maybe the owner of Barr

If we get a can of dandelion and burdock and a pack of pickled onion space raiders for Cack Foulback I'll be ecstatic this summer

We matched / were better than Hull in the cup this year despite losing on penalties. I suspect we'd have just enough in our locker to stay up at present like. Obviously that's on the basis of one game though
-
I reckon Rafa will just have his target set to staying up next year. He's ambitious but he's a realist. Finishing comfortably around 10th-13th is what he will be after.
-
I agree about his occasional backing off but I also think he was a solid RB defensively.
-
Anita is better defensively than Yedlin and can read the game. His main flaw is his lack of physical ability which is down to his size. Depends how you want your defenders to play. I get the impression these days more people want their defenders to be better at attacking as a priority. Obscure imo. Danny Simpson was arguably one of the best RBs we've had in recent years and he was (for me) surprisingly unpopular...

6million isn't much in this day in age and I reckon you'd struggle to get better for the same or less. I'd probably go for him or look to loan someone of similar ilk

I reckon we'd arguably have enough to keep us up already but we'd be in a relegation fight. Therefore, to be comfortable I think you're probably realistically talking about the addition of the 3 starters and 3 PL quality squad players. CB, CM and CF would be my 3 starting positions I reckon as I think we have quality in these areas but not quite enough to be comfortable. I know it's not a popular thing to say but I reckon with Gouff on the left in front of Dummett or maybe Ritchie there with Gouff / Yedlin on the right in front of maybe Anita both wings could arguably have some level of defensive capability. So the addition of a good quality CB who reads the game and has some degree of experience would be a worthy addition alongside either Clark, Lascelles or Mbemba. Especially if they're French (?) speaking to guide Chancel along. Mbemba is our best CB but obviously struggles with communication. Another ball playing CB would leave us with 4 capable CB's assuming Hanley wouldn't make the jump. 2 "cloggers" for the love of a better term and 2 "ball players" with all 4 capable alongside one another if necessary (as CB pairings). I don't think you can underestimate the difference that a ball playing CB would make too. It'd provide stability and control to the whole team. CM for me would need to be a box to box midfielder. An upgrade on Diame / Hayden who again has experience and / or a good sense of positioning. Then we'd have reasonable competition for places in there and a capability to switch the way we play even if it's not the formation. Shelvey at home in particular will always be a good creative outlet and plays an important role to any team wishing to be an attacking threat. I question his temperament and previously his athleticism and professionalism but Rafa at least seems to be getting the best out of him fitness wise. A good quality box to box midfielder doing the dirty work and laying it off would give Shelvey the chance to pick his passes and also contribute to both attacking and defensive aspects of the game. Diame for me is too hit and miss and I feel Hayden will maybe be shown to be a tad naïve. With control in the centre of the pitch maybe Atsu or someone of similar ilk could be used on the left wing when we want to go for games. Rather than a more safe / defensive option of someone like Gouffran. CF was an iffy one for me but it'd either have to be a CF or a good quality #10. Either would improve our attacking threat significantly with either Gayle up top or maybe Perez. The alternative is you get a big mobile striker for either Gayle, Perez or even Diame to play off. I like Gayle but we will need to create plenty chances if he is to be the striker he has this season. He's been great but he's not as clinical as I would like. Once again a bit of experience / lack of naïvety in either the CF or #10 role would be key for me and filling each of these positions with capable, experienced individuals would paper over cracks for the first 6-12months back up there. Then you can look to build. Squad players for me at that point would be wingers and full/wing backs. Suspect you'd need to spend around the region of 30-50 million for good quality players in my 3 necessary positions. With maybe another 15-20 on the squad players but with players going out as well as I suspect the outlay would probably stand at around 50million. I think that might be ambitious with the Ashley in charge...

I'm not so sure at European games though mate. Was like 6,000 Geordies in Brugge and only 2,000 had a ticket and there was minimal issues there. The year before they hosted Birmingham and they smashed up all the bars. They were gobsmacked when they seen how "well behaved" and "funny" we were. It was the locals who said that sort of stuff to us. I'm saying we have fans like that, just Leicesters wankers decided to do it in Europe. It's only 4 years since our fans decided to go on the rampage in our city after a derby defeat. Leicester have been to Bruges this season without any issue FYI. Also thankfully the really bad hooligans associated with NUFC have banning orders, we do have the highest in England. We also have one of the highest home and away attendances. The derby game wasn't even fans, it was just divvies looking for a fight with the Mackems / Police. I'm not denying we have divvies, every club does. I haven't seen any level of twattery started from our lot on any significant scale on the continent though. I haven't really seen any in person even over here apart from cokeheads / pissheads being a bit silly. Worst I have probably seen, which is canny bad like, is a car with NUFC engraved in the bonnet (right across it) at the Fernhurst in Blackburn one season. Ticket went on general sale though as we got a large allocation, so any dickhead could go. Leicester probably don't have that problem.
