There was hundreds sat outside in concert square and as soon as it happened my mate started chanted "England, England..." was funny as owt. It's quite nice to hear their kids proper chanting like - 4-0 down and giving their postmen and mechanics a bit of moral support.

From a relatively realistic level of optimism I would have said we could maybe have had 7 points max from these 4 games. Based on the Ashley era I think 2 points is probably about what I'd expect, and it's what we have. That being said, our upcoming fixtures are slowly becoming cup finals. We need a win asap to release the tension.

Nope Moussa needs a level of freedom and is undisciplined. Can only play central in a midfield 3 imo. I do agree that he is undisciplined but with the correct coaching there's nowt to say that cannot be learned.

The art of tackling is well underrated. As a CB myself I enjoy a good tackle almost as much as a good goal. It always has been and will be the case that attacking play is more entertaining but that's not to say that good, solid defending should be talen out of the game. It's a contact sport where men and women need to stand up and be counted. Because of that contact it requires passion, grit and determination in every game. Clamping down too much on tough tackling to an extent would ruin the game. On that note I still maintain that Joey Bartons two tackles before and after half time in the 4-4 got us that very result because they were firm and made Diaby (?) Lose his cool.

We've got options in the middle like. Not sure if Wijnaldum could play on yhe eing but him on the right and Thauvin on the left with Moussa and Vernon in the middle coild be a shout. Perez and Mitrovic up top.
