  1. Potentially. No, definitely! No doubt he will be in his prime at 26/27 too?

As this could seemingly become an outrageous idea that we could even be relegated this season, I think we should have an overly optimistic EUROMETER as well...
  3. Apparently. You could be right like, the France team might have nowt to do with it...

    Hatem Ben Arfa

For me, to defend against Ben Arfa in a way that is in any shape or form acceptable is to start a yard or two away from him and when the pall is played into him get tight quickly and don't let him turn. He isn't the fastest in the world, but he is incredibly talented / skillful especially at dribbling. If you don't allow him to get settled on it you save the whole problem of having to double up and / or having to back off so you don't get raped. Nevertheless, he is absolutely fucking immense, so chances are he will show you up once or twice. What we seem to be getting right at the moment is giving him the freedom to roam, and when he can do that he is unplayable, unless you have someone competent enough to man-mark him.
  5. To be fair to Tiote, I think he has obviously been told (and rightly so) to improve the areas of his game that would see him become a decent international standard player. Unfortunately, that is where he is more limited, i.e. in his passing and attacking game. If he is told to stick to what he does best and be a play-breaker and not a play-maker then he will look decent again. He's the exact sort of player we will need on the pitch against the better sides in my opinion, especially at home when we want to get in their faces and gee the fans up a bit. If he can just make the tackles an knock it 5/10 yards to the likes of Cabaye then everyone wins.
  6. I have a feeling this "interview" will just be some shit that the club have told him to go out and say. I for one don't believe that Cabaye chose not to play or wasn't professional enough to play. I reckon the club seen an opportunity to make money and possibly re-invest it into other areas of the team. Especially as midfield is where we have most cover (despite Cabaye probably being our best CM). Regardless of what is said here, I'll still probably believe that. Will be interesting in years to come what is said once Ashley and / or Cabaye have fucked off. He is our player until January at least and he's seemed professional / committed enough so far so that will do for me. If he thinks a move to a 'bigger' club increases his chance of playing in a World Cup then who can really blame him. None of us want to see him go. However, all those who bleed Black and White are becoming disillusioned with the club and it's lack of ambition, and even we are sick of the lies and deceit. So how must a Frenchman, who has been sold this lie to get him here (and his friends) feel when there is lack of progress? To put it in perspective, if I wanted to play for England at a World Cup and was currently at Montpellier, where they were (theoretically) doing what we are, and I was on €60,000 a week, and I had a chance to be at PSG on €80,000 a week, and around better players, in Europe and have Hodgson watching, I know where I would be too. I hate to say it like, and I still believe he was being pushed as opposed to 'forcing a move out'. (unless I have missed some comments made previously...)
  7. it's a regular thing I hear though, people only look for ther eye catching, the other stuff often is missed. watch goal of the month, often just shots smashed in from 20yds as opposed to well worked team goals that end in an 8yd tap in. Aye - It's a shame that some of those types are over-looked, as they require far more cohesion and 'types' of skill. As opposed to one player just smashing it with good tekkers.
  8. That looks a bit like Glen Johnson too.

    Sunderland

Exactly, he blew too early, he should have waited but didn't which tbf has given us lots of fun Sh*te refereeing, but he had clearly blown so all bets were off. The whole 'big club conspiracy theory' on the rtg shortbus is simply papering over the cracks...they were comprehensively fisted by a much more technically adept side. I feel bad about laughing at the place tbh. Basically Sunderland city centre = 3 Shields roads + 2 Adelaide Terraces and half a Chilli Road. Their council needs an almighty kick up the hoop for letting the place go to rack and ruin. It is genuinely a shit hole like. No need for bias, it just is.
  10. what a f***ing awful post baffles me when people, even when trying to take the p*ss or wind people up, can display such f***ing awful patter like. It's just dreadful in every way. you're wrong kidda. He doesn't do anything effective where it counts. He lacks physical strength, he doesn't win the ball. He's not very good. But canny to see people behaving like 5 year olds. Is this a message board for 5 year olds as well as thickos ? :mike: If this post was "dumpling" than it can only mean your brains are the mince. Nee offense like, sweet cheeks.
  11. Just stumbled on this...fuck off Merson...
  12. Couple more £1 ridiculous bets today. Fingers crossed. 6 draws for one and 12 wins for the other.
  13. We have to be looking to turn these fuckers over today like.
  14. Seriously though, I might have missed something, but did Cabaye definitely "not want to play". I have a feeling it was more the club wanting to shift him on for a big sum...
  15. Not sure if I've missed some sort of newspaper nonsense over the summer, but has Cabaye actually ever said he wanted to leave / not play?
  16. It goes without saying like but I really hope we get a win here just to see some positivity around our club.

    Shola Ameobi

I would actually have to chuckle if that happened like.
  18. Had a £1 bet on England to draw as well as 4 other games tonight which was written off pretty quick. I wish I included the England draw in my other bet though. 11/12 wins and England let me down. £1 would have got me £560 approximately. What a piss take.
  19. Wanker Frank cost me £560.

See you at the World Cup Shola.
  21. I'm not a big fan of boycotting like, it's a bit like cutting your nose off to spite your face. If it was to happen though, fans should gather outside the ground and support the team (as crazy as it might sound).
