  1. Don't read if offended by racism (I'm sick of being banned). I'm actually not racist either...fwiw.
  2. The back four weren't as solid as they have been, the midfield were half a yard off the pace and Demba was pretty much our only striker. Pardew made one or two changes that for me weren't quite right but hey, we've lost four games from like 17/18 - that's pretty fucking awesome. Atmosphere was flat - as per usual when we're trailing (football pet hate) and every time it picked up it seemingly got flattened by another West Brom goal. Keep the crowd quiet = win the game to a lot of clubs who come to St James' and despite West Brom looking more suspect than Swansea defensively, they attacked with a far greater level of threat, and consequently won the game. Stewards tend to be jobsworth wankers and thankfully I have good lads around me with a similar frame of mind shall we say. All in all, it was probably the right result.

The Demba chant was mint until they scored like the bastards. Especially after the corner got lifting just before we scored.
  4. Anyhoo...Is Swansea a 3pm kick off?
  5. No-one is restricting your freedom of speech. Freedom of speech doesn't mean that (as well as there not being restrictions placed on you by the government as to what you can or can't publish) that private citizens are obligated to pay for you to have a platform for your views or comments or must allow you to air them on their property, be it in their house, in their pub or on their message board. Fair point. I still stand by the fact that had these been a disliked person nowt would have been said. It's s**** crack, it's not like I personally offended any one person on here. There was no offensive language or anything. Nevertheless, I kind of said it for a rise, and I got one, so y'kna... For me, I struggle to be as sympathetic when someone takes their own life. It's not because I'm ignorant like some daft s**** mentioned either. It's because there are many people out there who don't get the opportunity to choose life or death, and people who do have that choice shouldn't abuse it, in my opinion of course. Regardless of that, I still feel sad about Speedo. He was a nice bloke and a quality footballer. You don't know who reads your posts on here. You don't know that his kids, parents or wife haven't been looking around the internet to see what people are saying. It should have been moved or deleted and I should have been advised why. I might get offended when people call me a spacker or similarly a Mackem, but it wouldn't stop people calling me one, and I certainly wouldn't want them 'warned' for it...
  6. Na! No way! How dare he do that when he's injured. Christmas is cancelled Colo' it's fucking cancelled, right!
  7. As phenomenal as Colo' has been, I personally don't think we'll miss him that much over the next two or three games. Dare I say it, but the likes of Perch and Santon will step up to the plate, because that's the type of team we are.

    Danny Guthrie

Has been superb recently. Was overwhelmed by his and Cabaye's passing in the Chelsea game. Quality stuff.
  10. Me too. 50% for the 'joke' and 50% for not respecting it (apparently). Nowt like having freedom of speech...
  11. Did you get banned too like?
  12. Nice gesture whoever sorted it. The atmosphere was good for Speed and will be even better and more emotional when Swansea come to town - Which I look forward to. I apologize for my ill-tasting and ill-timed joke. However, whoever decided to ban/warn/stop me posting needs their heads checked as there have been similar quotes since then that could have been perceived in an offensive way, but weren't... Nevertheless, I'll now leave that subject, as it doesn't belong in this thread.
  13. Even if it was someone like say Saddam?
  14. Sorry. If it was anyone else who had done this though, I would make similar jokes as would many others. As much as I love Gary Speed and I'm gutted by this, I think hanging yourself is a cowardly act. There never is a right time to say that, and Joey Barton (I think) saying that so soon after was particularly inappropriate, especially in the public eye. I certainly wouldn't do it about cancer or something of the likes. I guess it's my (and others') way of dealing with it, by making an ocassional funny. Don't say it then. It's my opinion, more people died allowing me to have one, so tough s***. Fair enough - you're entitled to your opinion. Just don't think your joke was any less inappropriate than what Joey Barton said. Fair enough, I guess. Would it be different if it was someone we don't give a shit about though? Like Steve Bruce?

  16. Why the tin hat? Use your loaf babes.

  18. I don't like the hanging around like, but can see why it's being done. *tin hat
  19. Hopefully splitting it will give us more momentum across to games. It will undoubtedly get the fans going on both games and if it's right on the stands it will be on the pitch.
  20. Think it's starting to sink in now and will tomorrow especially.
