  1. Ndidi winks and skips Happy chap he is
  2. They've gone from saying it wasn't a second Yellow to it being annoying cause it's inconsistent too, I've noticed.
  3. "What explanation what was given for the Yellow card?" "None." Why do they need an explanation? It's obvious, he kicked the fucking ball away and was already booked. Tough shit.
  4. Rice was very stupid there.
  5. Sandro being back is enough for me, for tomorrow. Get a win and we're laughing. Unbeaten in 4 and without playing well in at least 3.
  6. Hellooo Hellooo Sandro is back! Sandro is back! Hellooo Hellloooo Sandro is back! Sandro is back!
  7. On the point of Liverpool I reckon they've obtained such success because of their siege mentality, historically. They have a feeling of being hard done by and collectively unite behind that to overcome whatever has been thrown at them. It's one of the more likeable Scouse traits I reckon.
  8. Morning glory? Lots of talk of PNS in there.
  9. You're absolutely right there, which for me is why a siege mentality and remaining unified and together is the most important outcome of the transfer window for me, now. Newcastle won't do what Liverpool would do in this scenario, they'll infight and implode, going off history. That's the difference for me longer term. We've been mugged off by the powers that be and that should be the fire that's ignites us at all levels of the club, to do better and stick it to the man.
  10. No need to apologise mate, you said nothing wrong - and I didn't say that to make you feel bad or owt. I was just saying it because I guess it's a little bit about perspective. Howe, like all of us will be wondering why we've stood still (myself included), but Howe will also be thinking "How do I get the best out of this set of players" and I absolutely back him to do so. Perhaps standing still helps us in later windows, if Eddie can pull out another period of outstanding results.
  11. TBH mate, I have some personal shit going on and stresses that make me (a naturally positive person) feel that the only way out is to be positive. So that is also being applied to this. I don't disagree with what is being said by the vast, vast majority but the reason for the post above is to see some of the positives and to try and remove some of the negativity around it. It is important we learn from the negatives and use them as a driving force for continuous improvement, but it is also important we don't focus on them because it will do more harm then good. As fans, frustrated as we may be, our job is to now (as ever) back those representing us on the pitch and place our faith in a man who has been nothing but wonderful for this club in Eddie Howe.
  12. Largely to buck the trend in here... 7/10. We didn't sell any important squad players and have added additional cover to the squad in potentially key areas. We have also seemingly got on top of the freshly implemented PSR changes which will benefit us for future windows. Downside being the obvious fact we haven't really improved the first 11 through signings, but without wanting to sound too much like an Ashleyman Tonali could be the key to drive us forward and less games should hopefully mean more fitness across the board. I truly believe we will grow into this season, we simply need to focus on football and getting a few key players back and firing on all cylinders.
  13. So when do Chelsea get a point deduction?
  14. Just watched this press conference. That Louise Taylor (?) And a few others are absolute tosspot. Yet again Eddie did a great job fielding the questions. The rules have been bent to stop us and we need tk be United is absolutely the right message. Howay Eddie bonnie lad.
  15. Cannot wait for his interview when we beat Spurs

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Only an hour to go. Get in. Keep our boys strapped in. Sick of this fucking window.
  17. Actually a bit surprised by this tbf. But the vast majority of expenditure is across the years since the Saudis arrived, and I certainly don't think we've underperformed based on said signings. Rome wasn't built in a day, etc. Etc.
  18. I'd be intrigued to see where our expenditure now lies amongst the clubs of the last say 10 years now we've had a couple of years splashing out. I bet our net spend isn't all that high by comparison. The club was ran into the ground and was an absolute shell on all levels. We were balance sheet champions for a reason. As soon as we had the chance to spend they've put the blocks into place. I think Howe has been perfect for the role to date. I think he remains perfect for the role. What he needs though is the correct backing, as he has received until this calendar year. What has become apparent for me is that the folk running the club know how to run a good business. They are constantly attempting to sell the club to prospective fans and grow the brand and grow the income. They absolutely have to now because of FFP and PSR. The bi-product of this, is of course, that it future-proofs the club somewhat. However, what is missing is the simple logic that being successful and winning games is the best way to build your brand. Under Howe, we have achieved a cup final and a champions league campaign. This, right after a season where we not only escaped relegation but blew it out the water with only half a season or so left. The squad has never had sufficient depth to be top 10 and competing across all competitions, yet, this season. With everyone fit, I'd argue we do (for the first time). Last season, we got to two quarters finals and were cheated out the champions league, all whilst finishing 7th with one of, if not our best ever goalscoring tally. If people think Howe is the issue. They're fucking mad. It's that simple.

    Sean Longstaff

He is absolutely good enough to be a starting PL midfielder. Just not one pushing for the CL.
  20. The handball you mean? Or what about the red card where Schar didn't touch Brereton Diaz? And we didn't get a decision all game. We haven't been lucky. We've been on the right and wrong side of decisions as happens in any season and we've come out with results through perseverance. Agree that we need to move up a gear on Sunday, or several though.

    Lewis Hall

You can judge elements of his game. Defensively he isn't strong enough for a £30million left back in the Premier League. His positioning was off and he is too lightweight and small to impose himself on attackers. Not yet anyways. Technically, he wasted cross after cross too. I accept he was put under pressure when passing around the back owing to the lack of composure of others but really his game needs rounding in a few aspects to come up to the price tag assigned to him (which of course isn't his fault). I reckon opposition managers will target him as our weak link, and duly did so tonight from the very off.
  22. Meh. Forest created little. Newcastle haven't been great in the opening three, but they haven't been lucky either.

    Lewis Hall

Very naive and lightweight for me. Needs to be LWB in a 5 I reckon to maximise his ability. Alongside a LCB of Burn to learn where to be and when. Burns positioning is by and large very good, as is his decision making. He just struggles with pace and the composure on the ball.
