It's not the issue folk are making it out to be. If we add Guehi and get Schar and Botman back. We'll be fine.
-
Just had a look and we scored 85 - so 2.2 goals per game (rounded down). Scoring goals isn't our issue.
-
I honestly don't see the worry or clamour for RW. If we shore up our defence, we'll be fine. We scored goals for fun last season we just conceded far too many.

Sensationalist language to catch the eye or ear as always. I'm sick of transfer windows. Sky spoiled it in about 2009 along with Mike Ashley.

Yeah, sorry mate, but I was raging at Longstaff for going down like a complete fanny and trying to con the ref' when it was quite clearly never a pen. It's the worst part of his game tbh, and I'm a Longstaff fan.

I really don't get this keeper situation.

Decent start result wise. Get 3 points next Saturday and that's a strong start.

This looks nowhere near his shoulder to me like.

Aye, it isn't unreasonable to suggest we haven't had a great summer, I agree. I just think it's also not as doom and gloom as folk make out.

Have to remember that last season we only finished 8 points from 4th in a season where we had key players out all season. Just had a look and if we scored around 6 more goals across 4 or 5 fixtures we'd have been 4th. Fine margins really. With Tonali back and certain positions bolstered from a squad perspective (albeit not the first 11 being improved upon) I feel we have a healthy chance of being in with a shout of top 4. My expectancy is between 4th and 7th but I really do think we're capable fo top 4 if we gather momentum. We really need that siege mentality though and w should absolutely have it, we're being dicked by shite rules that restrain us. That first game was horrific refereeing and we won a game with 10men in the PL after playing for 65mins with one less man. Tonali will be huge for us I reckon too.

I just feel like the sense of entitlement is lifting. Not sure where it has come from as Newcastle fans or even of it's a societal thing. Social media has become the pits. Folk just wanting to fight each other and wind folk up all the time. Just using freedom of speech like a beacon of excuse for twattery. Oh and I'm off on one.

Why anyone as a Newcastle fan or Geordie would slate Dan Burn is beyond me. He encapsulates what being a Newcastle fan is for much of its community. He represents this city. Just as Sean Longstaff does (and others) and I'm proud of how they represent people like me.

Dan Burn is a fantastic representative of Newcastle and Newcastle United. He's put in some amazing shifts since signing and the shit he gets online is absolutely fucking absurd. If anything, Eddie Howe fucked up leaving him so exposed at Left Back, and I love Eddie Howe. Everyone seems desperate to hate on folk online. Bizarre.

Really hope we grind out 4 points in the next two league games and get through the league cup to silence all the online negativity like personally. I'm not saying it's not warranted but just gets very tiresome very quickly for folk like me.

Tin hat here - but I don't really feel that arsed about new signings personally yi kna. I actually think we'll have a much better season for being out of Europe and with Tonali back and hopefully a fit bill of health across the squad I reckon we'll do some damage flying under the radar. What fucks me off more is the absolutely farcical FFP/PSR/whatever new fucking acronym they've made up to prevent us competing financially is thrown up and at us and also the fact we're having to consider the potential of moving from SJP simply to maximise revenue to get around said acronyms ASAP. Soul feels like it's gonna be sucked from the club and we're not even gonna bear the fruits of allowing that to happen. Football is so fucked in this country man. Disgraceful.

Not a fan of Jenas like, think he's an absolute horse shit commentator and he has a really inflated view of himself despite never really tearing it up like folk thought he would when he first burst on the scene. Good footballer, not great. Such a shame as I had a soft spot with him for his whole SBR relationship.
-
It must be shit though cause he knas they have a job to do but it seems like he wants to have a relationship of kinda mutual respect and then when they repeat the same questions that every other fucker has already asked he probably feels like any rapport is lost and it's just them pestering him like. They really should rephrase or skip past it when someone else has already asked it. I don't get what they achieve by asking and asking and asking other than trying to make them slip up or crack which seems really ingenuine to me.

Seemed noticeably fucked off on the presser like. Moreso with the lines of questioning than owt else it seems. Almost came across that he just wanted to be left alone to do what he's good at. I honestly think he hates transfer windows like.
-
Well that would be telling. Wouldn't it? 😉🤣

I do feel it's the latter. As his defensive positioning was particularly narrow yesterday too, leaving Hall noticeably exposed. I feel that it's an element of 'risk' that we're willing to deploy certainly versus lesser teams in favour of increasing our threat on the break to score.
