Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
Heron replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
I was told that 6k Birmingham fans came the year prior to us and smashed the place up and that's why we got less tickets. Apparently, by comparison, they somewhat loved the majority of Newcastle fans as we drank a fair share and largely acted pleasantly despite the occasional, and inevitable knacker. -
Bottle job.

To view Slim with other sweaty men.

Too much masturbation.

Will send upon my return home later this week mate

:O I'm carrying on the tradition of being last to pay. It excites me.

I support England but it holds nothing like the same feeling as it does with Newcastle it has to be said. This game tonight is just one of those ones where I'd check my phone to see the score and that's about it unless I have nowt else on. Wor lasses mate has booked us to have a meal at kick off time and I was just like "Ah wey" but if it had have been the Toon there'd be a no show or a rescheduling like for sure
-
Well thank you good sir.

I wear sandles made of solid gold.

When's the team news out
-
Meh, just wear them. I didn't tell you. You heard it on the grapevine.

One last post for the night. Eddie is (still) our king. That is all. Good night.

No, not at all, I was saying it in addition. Perhaps, deep down, Howe needs us to pick him up too. It would never be said, but I reckon a good show of support vs Brentford for both Howe as the team would go down a treat.
-
Also up to the fans to rally...
-
I got it. HA! NER NER NER-NER-NER
-
No, because there a probably more than 100 variables that would effect that from happening. One of them being that Brighton could also win with 17% possession.
-
Goals win games not having the ball. There's more than one way to skin a cat. West Hams defensive organisation and rigidity had Brighton passing square and backwards around the middle third for a lot of the game and every time they broke into the final third they got batted away. West Ham then (as planned) broke and scored with conviction numerous times.
-
Exactly. I reckon of all people Howe is probably feeling most frustrated and disappointed, dare I say it, fans included.
-
West Ham entirely deserved their win through both tactically and physically outperforming Brighton. Stats don't always tell the full picture.

All depends on the context of what's been said and seen though doesn't it. Criticising a performance is one thing. Suggesting whole scale changes is another and as we all know the Internet rarely has grey areas...

Absolutely, but that's all part of good man management. He wasn't going to come out and say we were shite with the exclusion of maybe two or three players. I mean, we'd have admired his honesty as fans bur it would suggest gaps in the armour and would potentially upset individuals in the team, or the whole team. Luck doesn't really exist. We all use the term but it's bollocks really. We use luck to explain what we cannot be bothered to explain, cannot explain or simply don't want to explain, really. All opinion this of course... Howe answered questions designed to open cracks and make them holes and instead papered over them whilst he establishes the more long term solution, which he absolutely will find, for me. (Not meaning to be defensive with you by the way )
-
Potentially Longstaff if anyone for me. Purely for his energy and because I feel he offers less on the ball than other potential starters.
-
I don't have, no. He said we'd been good in spells and need to take our chances but also not need to give away sloppy goals in essence. Said he'd support the players and that he wouldn't overreact, and that ultimately we'd get it right. Got his interview spot on for me.

You also quoted me without saying owt
