Just as good on paper as Maiga, Roux or anyone else bar Gamiero we were linked with. If we are only playing with 1 striker, why isn't Ba good enough to be Carroll's replacement?

TBH Demba Ba is just as good on paper or otherwise as any of the strikers we were linked to throughout the window bar Gameiro. Im more pissed we didn't replace Barton or sign a good right winger.

Definitely my first preference over Maiga. Though perhaps not as suited to the up front role we might be giving our first striker.

He will go there to stay in home country if he had the choice i think. Surely that would be the logical move for him, as well as Roma more likely to get into Europe and pay better wages.

I knew he was great on and with the ball but his ability to get around the pitch and in particular the cleanness of his tackles has really surprised me.

Looking like he could be as good a signing as Tiote was last season. Very promising.

If he had to pick up another injury, i'm glad it was a hand injury. Good to see him get some time and hopefully it will continue throughout the season.
