  1. It's hard to argue against accepting 15 million for a player that wont renew his contract. He was a very shrewd purchase who we only got from Villarreal because they had an undroppable left back at the club. It would be preferable if he went to another league, but these things can't be help. 15 million is a lot of money to find an adequate replacement.
  2. Being a Stoke born lad, wonder if he'd accept a move to Stoke City with Shawcross coming the other way?
  3. Harper 7.5 Some good saves and the goal was out of his reach. Simpson 6.5 Mediocre but wasn't a liability Colo 6.5 Grew into the CM position. A Lot more comfortable at CD Williamson 7 Pick of the defenders. looked solid in comparison to Saylor. Enrique 6.5 Looked a little rusty and off the pace. Some good combo's with Jonas which comes almost natural. Saylor 5 Just a clumsy oaf. Does put in 100% but just isn't a Premier League CB Jonas 7.5 Particularly in the first half he was fantastic. Every pass hit is mark and had some good runs. Faded in the second, and his poor left foot was exposed on more than one occasion Guthrie 6.5 Barely seen first half, but did better when Colo was put back to CB and particularly in the last 15 minutes. Barton 6 Just went into the game too hot headed and just shite overall. Wasted early opportunity. Change of position helped slightly. Raylor 6 Meh Ranger 5 Rubbish, lost the ball all game and wasted early opportunities by being selfish. Lovenkrands 5.5 tbf there was no service at all today until the last few minutes, but he still sucked Kuqi 6.5 Won a Corner
  4. Agree that Colo doesn't know where to be. Thought Barton looked a little too hot that half. How can we not have taught Ranger how to pass yet :/ Jose doesn't look in the mood.
  5. Dropping Barton? Yep, until he gets rid of his shit hair cut...

    Sunderland...

How is Doyle their best player? I'd take Ebanks-Blake over him every day and he was probably their MOM
  7. Harper Simpson Williamson Coloccini Saylor Raylor Perch Guthrie Jonas Ameobi Lovenkrands
  8. Harper 7 Simpson 7 Colo 8.5 Williamson 6.5 Ferguson 7 (Perch 6.5) Barton 8 Guthrie 6.5 Nolan 7.5 Jonas 7.5 Lovenkrands 7 (Ranger 6.5) Ameobi 7.5 Well done lads

So will we be playing a similar formation to Tottenham next season with HBA in the same role as VDV for Tottenham?
  10. Hope Saint Pauli stay up
  11. I think his best position is on the left side of a midfield 3, like Charlie Adam. We have Barton, Gosling and Guthrie who could play on the right side of a midfield 3 with Tiote in the middle. Harper Simpson Colo Willo Enrique Tiote Barton O'Hara HBA Jonas Best
  12. Mustapha Amini is a promising player who is good on the ball and has a decent passing game. Quick and at only 17 probably the most promising domestic youngster in Australia. Wicked afro but rumour has it he has just got it cut. Also looks like he is spending the rest of the season with Bayern Munich so I cant see him coming here.

    U23s & Academy

He has been named in an extended training squad for Australia
  14. Gameiro often plays as a striker in a 4-5-1 for Lorient. Could work with Gervinho and Ben Arfa attacking from the flanks alongside him...

    Graham Carr

Interesting that Lille seems to pop up a few times. Would suggest some interest in a player there...
  16. Amazing A-league Grand Final! 0-0 full time. Away side (Central Coast Mariners) scores two in the first half of extra time. Home side (Brisbane Roar, who haven't lost in 27 games) scores two goals in the last 3 minutes of extra time to send it to penalties! Brisbane Roar then wins it on penalties! Amazing game, amazing team considering the salary cap.
  17. Is he our Carroll replacement?

Shola HBA Nolan Jonas Barton Tiote Perhaps replace Jonas with him and hoy Best in though. Obviously just need some strikers and a winger ideally. So you think HBA is best suited to the VDV role at Tottenham. Was having the debate whether he was best suited to that role or a wide man in an Arsenal formation.

If you were to build a team around HBA what formation would you use?
