Looked like it clipped the ref and he said play on there, which I’m pretty sure isn’t what he’s supposed to do

Like fucking Groundhog Day

I’ve been pretty negative about tactics deployed this season. We were the better team for 135 minutes out of 180. We all wanted the HT change we made. The implosion / fatigue second half isn’t a manager problem. I’m gutted because I thought we could actually win until the penalty despite repeatedly saying / thinking we couldn’t. That tie with a fit Isak would have been interesting. ugh. I’m fucking gutted but that one’s not on Howe for sure. Definitely want him there next season and beyond (with reasonable caveats)

Glen Hoddle is so fucking awful

Gonna get murdered here

Elanga must be the most mentally fragile player we’ve had in recent times. He cracks so quickly

If the half starts as last ended the game could be gone before any changes made. Felt crucial we made one at least.

Going to be another fun night with the ref

So we could more or less be playing all English teams from here on in and win the tournament. Not sure I like having so many English teams at this stage, spoils a bit of the glamour.

I do think 3.3s for draw or home win on Betfair is probably leaning into our recent couple of away successes a little too far.

Great ball from injured Willock

That 5cm rule lasted long

Should actually be a red as clear goal scoring chance and no play of ball

Got to be a pen

very different away days

Surely chucking Osula on at this point is better than Willock

Even when we are losing. Like for like every time.

Who is this cunt on co-comms? Every game it’s the same shit

No idea what clauses we have in existing deals regarding cup wins and champions league qualification, or aggregation of smaller deals that we’ve not seen. Wishful thinking maybe, but when we see the number growth in prior years (albeit with some big and low hanging fruit) we can assume the number will be on an upward trajectory, maybe not at the same rate as previous %ages but the bigger the base number the lower the %age increase required to make notable differences. This hurts us for those above us but will help us as we become more established. I guess in medium term it’s about establishing ourselves as ‘best of rest’ outside the 6 familiar names.

https://www.deloitte.com/uk/en/services/consulting-financial/analysis/deloitte-football-money-league.html Interesting numbers. For us specifically, the fact we hit the same gate receipts with no CL/Europe indicates the big increase in ticket and hospitality prices. If you factor back in the CL gate receipts and prize money, plus another decent boost in commercial, would imagine we will be knocking on the €500m mark this season, heading to about 13th. That will platform us for the jump to target the level above, the sad thing being when you look at most of those above, you realise how much soul you likely have to sell to join them.
