  1. 99% sure it has already passed and so 5 yellow cards is no longer a booking. They don't get wiped though they continue to count and if you get to 10 it is a 2 game suspension. Please feel free to correct me if im wrong!
  2. Bristol City are there for the taking. Selecting Nicky Butt in the centre to replace Lovenkrands to me makes no sense at all. Would much rather see Best at least run around alot up top l which to be fair to him he did on wednesday night when he came on.
  3. Official site has Lovenkrands down as a doubt. Will be mightily pissed off if I turn up at Ashton Gate on saturday to find that Nicky Butt has come into the midfield with Nolan playing up top with Carroll.
  4. Surely both R.Taylor and Pancrate have made decent cases for them starting today ahead of Nicky Butt? I really really hope so, a little piece of me dies everytime I turn up and see that man on the teamsheet.
  5. Anyone know any pubs in Durham who will be showing this?
  6. Should be a big crowd and hopefully a good atmosphere, am pretty sure that Cardiff are brining their full allocation up and that always helps the atmosphere in my opinion. Makes me laugh how the police have moved it because the Mackems are at home to Wigan (who will only take a thousand at very best i'd imagine?!) yet there happy to have 3 thousand Cardiff up on a friday night, a large amount of whom will be drinking all day and probably going out in town friday night! It is pretty poor that both David Craig and the Sky Sports website are stating that the game is live on their own channel if it isnt! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_5909794,00.html
  7. This but i'd rather see Simpson start than Ryan Taylor and think that Fitz Hall and Shola will probably make the bench ahead of Kadar and maybe Pancrate? Also you can't seriously be suggesting that Nicky Butt wont get into our 18?!!
  8. Strangely enough I watched Leon play about 10 times or so when he was on loan at Yeovil a few years back in League 1 i think it was. If i remember rightly he did have a bit of pace about him and was always quite strong, however, at times it did appear as if he seemed a bit confused by what was going on around him and he was forever getting caught offside needlessly (In the sense that of course all offsides are needless but if he'd just had a bit more of a brain about him he would have realised that he could have held his run for that extra second and still beat the defender to the ball). Having said that he did seem to have an eye for goal (think he scored about 10 goals in 15 or so games) and he is only young. I hope he does well and good luck to him but i have my doubts as to whether he is good enough to keep any of our current strikers out of the team... I hope he proves me wrong!
  9. Just got back from watching Exeter v Leeds. First half he was poor, didn't really do much, couple of decent touches but also a couple of poor ones...seemed to be getting very wound up at his team mates, assistant refs etc. Second half much better, had a couple of chances, few decent saves by the exeter keeper I think but it was down at the other end so hard to see really. Not his best game im sure but that could have something to do with him not wanting to be there. Overall not really a great game to judge him by although he is rapid when covering ground...looks like he is gliding rather than running and you did always feel he has a goal in him. Got involved a little bit with link up play and seemed to spend most of the afternoon with his back to goal. Would still like to see him given a chance to see what he can do. Wasn't a great performance by Leeds and its hard to tell from this sort of game where its essentially Exeter's cup final.
  10. Is anyone aware of how many season ticket holders we actually now have (including half season ticket holders) ?
  11. West Brom dosnt affect the villa blues games as it is in Sandwell not the city centre Wolves are at home to Crystal Palace, not sure if this is true but thought it was the case Wolves and West Brom couldn't be at home at the same time? I might have completely made that up mind!
  12. Speaking of Simpson....injured? rested? getting used to life without him?
  13. By his standards yes, however, having him in the team slows everything down and means that the man who has arguably been our most creative player this season (certainly if you go on assists) playing wide right and then wide left! Having said that Nicky Butt is probably not the reason why it looks likely that we will only get a draw today.
  14. Nicky Butts positioning has been spot on, as you get older you think about the game more, and thats what he has done today!
  15. Boro say that they are close to selling out and there have definetly been people in the old family section during some games this season.
  16. Would be cracking to see a full house, or at very least to break the championship attendance record!
  17. Anyone know what the free Newcastle Online deal is for Season Ticket holders? Read about it somewhere I think and thought that I was supposed to get an e-mail but never got one? Could really use it now so that I can listen to the game!
  18. Anyone remember a kids tv programme called Wizadora? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizadora Collocini would fit quite nicely into the theme tune for that something along the lines of: "Collocini, Collocini, he's the one with the afro at the back" ! Think this is a link to the theme tune but the sound on my laptop is boken so I couldn't check it out!
  19. Think your missing my point mate. Of course there are times, like United recently, where the bench has been very strong (Rooney, Owen, Carrick) but they would be replacing players who are of lesser ability than themselves. What I was trying to say is that its good to see that we now have a fairly strong 20 odd, any of whom could justify their place in the starting XI. WTF ??
  20. What if Barnsley have Odejayi and Moore on the bench? What then, eh? Think your missing my point mate. Of course there are times, like United recently, where the bench has been very strong (Rooney, Owen, Carrick) but they would be replacing players who are of lesser ability than themselves. What I was trying to say is that its good to see that we now have a fairly strong 20 odd, any of whom could justify their place in the starting XI.
  21. Whoever Chris picks its cracking to see that we now have options. Say he sticks with saturdays lineup it means the bench will be from: Krul, Kadar, Khish, Butt, Geremi, Raylor, Pancrate, Shola, Nile, Carroll, with the likes of Kazenga, Donaldson, Tozer etc. unlikely to even get a look in. Obviously it hardly ever pans out that way but it means saturdays bench is likely to be the strongest in the championship by far.
  22. I think the way it worked was that it was "season ticket holders with x amount of loyalty points" so there was still priority for season ticket holders. Also i'm sure that the Mackem game went down to 10 briefly last year as I remember being very annoyed as I only had 9!
  23. http://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10432~1808086,00.html Surely no-one will actually go out and buy this? I mean seriously we've lost two games this season and both times the clubs have brought out DVD's! It's hardly like the games were big cup games, classic 4-3 thrillers or 5/6 goal drubbings either. Peterbrough haveapparantly brought out a dvd commemorating beating a team in the same league as them, who had 4 players making their debut and an average age of about 20, 2-0 at home in the early rounds of the carling cup. Fair play to these so called 'smaller sides' seeing us as a big scalp and enjoying victory against us but their fan's can't be that daft as to go out and buy these?!
