  1. Still can't believe this happened. Having slept on it I am still not bothered about the result at all, I am just gutted about missing Tiote for Sunderland (mainly), Spurs and Fulham. With the league as it is this season three defeats on the bounce could see us right back down in the relegation mixer and our chances of losing all of those games increase massively without tiote in the side. I was tossing and turning at 3am unable to sleep still angry about it, different people will apportion blame differently but I genuinely believe, given that it had already been stated he was an injury doubt, Pardew should not have even had him on the bus let alone bring him on at two nil down. For this reason in my opinion the majority of the blame lies at Pardews feet. I would love to see the lads prove me wrong but I can't see it. Such a shame as I have been looking forward to this game for months and now i'm dreading it, would give my right hand for a draw at the moment. On top of all that, as someone pointed out, he will almost inevitably miss a further two games for picking up 10 bookings which could be key if we are dragged back into the relegation mix. This may sound very extreme but this could potentially be a season defining moment, I pray it is not.
  2. I'd genuinely give up my lass if it meant this got rescinded!!
  3. Struggling to put words down for this. I can't describe how i'm feeling about tiote being out for the derby, hes so fucking important to us and should have been nowhere near this game. Our chances of getting anything at the SofL have decreased a significant amount because of that (unless it gets overturned). That incident has somewhat numbed the pain of getting knocked but i'm sure come 4th round weekend I will be feeling it. Have to say they did kind of deserve their victory after getting a lucky first, it was a pathetic showing from our lot. My only consolation is i had a tenner on barton to score anytime!
  4. "Stick Alan Smith on the left and get him to do a job there"...couldn't think of much i'd less like to see!
  5. Am sure I ready a quote yesterday from Pardew about Tiote. Said something along the lines of 'Cheik has a tight hamstring, if it was Sunderland this weekend I may (probably would have) risked him but not going to risk him at Stevenage (no disrespect)'. Can't remember where I read it but is good news as it sounds to me like Cheik will be ok for the derby.
  6. .co.uk have him down as having 9 including one in the cup but according to .com he didn't get booked in any of the league cup games. As much as Stevenage would be a good one for him to have missed as I don't think he will start anyway I would definetly rather he plays at Sunderland and then picks up a suspension after that game. Don't think we have to worry about Carroll and Barton as on the 31st December you no longer miss 1 game for 5 yellows, just 2 games for 10.
  7. Is he on 9 yellows now then? If so could do with him getting booked against Wigan and getting the inevitable 2 game ban out the way. No games are easy but would much rather he missed West Ham at home and Stevenage than Sunderland away and Spurts at home.
  8. Nail on the head. Have read some of the other posts on here in utter disbelief.
  9. I think you need a strong dose of f***ing reality. Funny that out of all the posts on here you pick on this one as the one that is most in need of a dose of reality!
  10. It's hard to say really as i'd imagine there are blocks in the lower bowl that just haven't been released for sale rather than have sold out. Still will keep my fingers crossed for 30k plus if only so that the place does not look empty on tv!
  11. I don't think he's been convicted of anything yet. He was convicted a few years ago, from an incident in town Pretty sure he received a police caution didn't he? That is not a criminal conviction
  12. I may have missed something quite significant but it think it is a little bit early to come to that sort of conclusion. It is a FACT that Barton stubbed a cigarette/cigar out on another players eye. It is also a FACT that Barton has criminal conviction's for common assault and also assault occasioning ABH. It may or may not be the case that this time next week Carroll will also have a conviction for ABH but to me there is a big difference between a "woman beater" and someone who has pushed a woman away in self defence resulting in a head injury. As we do not yet know what has gone on here it is a bit early to say.
  13. It's the old Andy Cole song. Isn't that the he gets the ball, he scores a goal one?
  14. Would be suprised if they even open level 7 for this (unless by some miracle the "lower bowl" sells out) hence why there is initial period for season ticket holders who normally sit down in the lower bowl to secure their seats before season ticket holders in level 7 get a go. Thats just the way I interpret what they are saying anyway.
  15. I'd agree with that, was always going to be £20, that's what Chelsea charged us last week. Hopefully we can get 'the bowl' as they call it full and create a decent atmosphere.
  16. Prem: SJP, SoL, Stamford Bridge, Brittania, St Andrews, Molineux, Villa Park, The Hawthorns, Craven Cottage, Emirates, Reebok, CofM (next weekend!) Champs: Loftus Road, Cardiff (whatever it is called!), Elland Road, Majewski (spell?), Liberty, City Ground, Ricoh, Oakwell, Riverside, Bramall Lane, Selhurst, Ashton Gate League 1: Huish Park, The Valley, County Ground (Swindon), The Memorial, Victoria Park, Home Park, St Marys, St James' Park Others: Wembley, Millenium Stadium, Darlington Arena, Whaddon Road, Tannadice, Dens Park (Dundee). Not bad for a 21 year old but hope to add to it soon!
  17. I believe that is the young (irish?) lad ferguson who played at left back in the carling cup game. Not 100% though
  18. Yes, surely. He's out and nobody has heard anything about that. So tell us why he didn't trained then...? Where are these training pics? I can just find the one on the official site when talking about winning Tiote's shirt. Usually training pics are in some sort of "toon in training" article? Is there one for blackpool?
  19. Yea i am praying its nothing. I have no idea but I remember Nolan being reported as out of the watford away game (maybe with a head injury?) last season but then im sure he started. That wasn't the work of the mail by any chance was it? EDIT: Hmmm the next piece from the daily mail is this one: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1306823/Newcastles-Jose-Enrique-admits-Geordie-cleaner-taught-talk-Toon.html including this little gem of a quote from Jose: 'I am starting to pick some up though because we have a cleaner cal led Lorraine who speaks Geordie and so I hear her say things like "hiya" which I had never heard before.' Don't know why but reading this makes me believe that Carroll is not injured!
  20. Daily Mail think Carroll is a doubt, a huge blow if true http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1306870/Newcastle-striker-Andy-Carroll-race-time-fit-Wolves-clash.html
  21. I've heard that a very low number of Ipswich fans are making the trip? If that is the case then try our box office (again if you haven't already) as they could put another block or two up in level 7 on sale where the away fans will not be?
