be honest. the booing has only been at half time/full time when getting beat and playing appallingly. that would happen everywhere. Yeah it was, id love the whole stadium to get behind the team/and the team respond to it with a performance win/lose/draw like at blackburn, i think the first step is to last more than 20-30 mins without going behind and create a few good chances, if that happens id say the atmosphere will be good
-
No chance if were not 2-3 up after 15mins lets start Boo'ing, Leaving the stadium and calling for the players who are on the bench to come on and save the day.

Mainly due to Shepherds dreadful choices of manager. The plummet in the standing of this job is 90% his frault. By the way - some great Christmas versions of avatars appearing ! Well done Dave & Wullie & Gejon for example ! Surprised #9 hasn't done one similar to:- http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/2870/indexphpfd9.png Thank you !!

Only if the manager isn't good enough. Yes, he's better than Roeder or Souness. Yes, we need to show consistency and stick with a manager. But only the RIGHT manager. As fans, there seems to be soem fucking stupid idea that anyone who wears balck and white, or manages the club, deserves no criticism, and is automatically top class. THEY AREN'T. And at the moment, there is a lot of criticism being justified of a number of players who are mid table quality at best, and a manager who is patently out of his depth. I heard last night on Sky Fat Sam saying "its judged over 38 games not 14"......this follows his made-up stat about the best 10 game start ever, or soemthing stupid......and you're wrong, Sam - the SEASON is judged over 38 games. But a team and a manger are judged on a rolling basis on performance. And yours has been shite. I'd like to know if he will resign if/when we are still 10/11th at 38 games. He's spent £25m, played HIS tactics, etc. But of course he won't. I can't blame him, if i got paid loads of money to do a job i wasn't up to, i'd milk it as well. But that doesn't make him any less full of shit. Whats his net spend though? and weren't the sales needed for the good of the dressing room? I think we've got to got through the pain barrier to get better. He might never play pretty football but he might make us a far more effective outfit next year if we stick with him. I don't believe anybody will walk into the club and have us playing well within 15 games, winning games, entertaining the public and have the press lauding over him. We've got to give him time for the long term good of the club and the good of it's short term reputation. Fact is, i don't think he is up to it long term, full stop. He's not a manager who needs time to bed into the Premiership, neither are some of his signings. We NEED to get a really good manager in. Sticking with one who is not good enough will do NOTHING for our reputation, as we will be for even longer a mid table club. And his net soend is irrelevant - he has bough players to the tune of £25m, and they haven't been good enough. Like him. But, if we beet Brum, and maybe one other team over the next 5 games, we'll paper over the cracks, pretend he's good enough, and stick our heads in the sand whenever we look at the league table, making excuse after excuse for the sgite we produce.* * That wasn't meant to sound like a line from a kids book, that last bit, but it reads that way, very rythmic. I dont think anyone will argue that SA is not going to make us a top 4 team playing entertaining football, he will given a season or so make us say a 8th place team and leave us with a solid squad of players, an ideal base for a top manager to come in and build on it and move forward, SA has been handed a very poor squad bar 2-3 players. But we sack him now and replace him with who? theres no obvious choices out there who are diffrent class to SA, a manager at a successful club is not going to leave that club to join a club thats given a manager with a decent track recored 14 games to transform them from a 14th placed club to top 6 club. Did we not learn from sacking Sir Bobby? he would have given us a top 6 finish but no we sacked him expecting a cue of top class managers wanting the job, then ended up chasing the likes of Steve Bruce and Souness.

Lets hope the players involved are Babayaro,Carr,Ameobi and maybe even Pattison has poped back up from Norwich to lead the revolt.

So that would make the kids happy at Xmas day when there dad goes off and leaves them for a week ? Well ive got kids and iam fairly sure mine would understand even at a you age, id hope they could see i was providing them with the best possible life in terms of lifestyle etc..
-
You could understand players missing there family at Xmas if they were away from home long hours and away for weeks on end the rest of the year, but infact they work half days and are away once every few weeks for the weekend.

IMO to decide whats the derby with the most rivalry you would have to go as a away fan, ive been to tyne/wear and old firm games as a away fan and it would take alot to beat the hatred between fans, i cant see Merseyside, London derbys coming close..Villa/Brum maybe..
-
No the novelty of his 1st games has worn off and people just expect to see him there now
-
What makes it even better is the reaction from the spurs fans behind the goal . Dont think Keane should have been sent off but it was satisfying to see him go, is the a game go by that he does not make a claim for a pen?
-
Thats him & me then, anyone else? I dont mind, count me out
-
Proven ability means nothing on here if they cant deliver instent success, Talk of Shearer,Lee and Speed super combos is a joke, why not through in Sir Les, Albert and anyone else that fancys it, We rip the piss out of Lee Clark and Terry Mc getting jobs, how is this any diffrent!?

Horrible place, last time we went there our mini bus got ambushed by stoke fans after the game

yes because our Managers not a tactical genius we lost to Derby, no blame can be put on the players. It's the managers job to motivate the players and get them up for the game. Also in case you don't remember it Allardyce's genius idea to start Amoebi instead of Martins. The team we put out that night motivated or not should have been capable of beating/not losing to derby, the 10's of thousands they pick up every we should have been motivation enough to beat the likes of derby. Based on that logic there is no need for Allardyce if the squad didn't need motivating. It's easy to go into the game thinking we would coast it especially after they had just lost 6-0 to Liverpool and it was Allardyce's job to make sure we didn't get complacent, the fact is we played shit that night, Allardyce put out the wrong team and didn't have the players up for it. Nobody knows what SA said to the players before the game, iam fairly sure he didnt say, Liverpool have just beat these 6-0 play for a 0-0 and make little to no effort

yes because our Managers not a tactical genius we lost to Derby, no blame can be put on the players. He played: Harper Taylor - Cacapa - Rozehnal - N'Zogbia Smith - Geremi - Butt Ameobi Milner Owen Then to top it off he told them to go for the draw!! After we went 1:0 down and looked completely and utterly hopeless against the worst side in the league he tried to fix things by bringing off Owen for Martins (still one up front). When that genius move failed to bring us a goal he followed it up by bringing off Geremi for Faye! On 75 minutes, with us looking as hopeless as ever and heading aimlessly to defeat he made his final killer move on 75 minutes, he brought on Beye for Taylor at right back. Yeah lets blame the players Owen went off injured.

4 shots on target,11 off target and 6 blocked shots accourding to skysports would suggest we had enough chances to win the game.
-
Yeah everyones hamming Arsenal this season so if we go down 1-3 its unaceptable and should be sacked for this result alone.
-
Exactly, people need to remember who we are and how awful we have been for the last 3 years, 5 games ago everyone was over the moon after our best start for years, no one has beat arsenal this season so it shouldnt be a deciding game for our manager whos been in charge 1/3rd of a season, if we play like we did 2nd half yesterday then we will win more games that we lose, if were planning on replacing a Manager who will give us at least a mid table safe finish with Shearer then we might as well start planning for Shearer's replacement as hes not going to last long either.

Give him a break, its easy to miss in the dark

"30 seconds into the game and Titus bramble has had a nightmare"
-
. Have they been given special permission to go on the pitch whenever they score?
-
We did play well 2nd half, we were beaten by two class goals, well maybe 2nd one could have been stopped in the build up, and the 3rd was down to taking a chance for a late equalizer.

The booing perspective - Joey Barton has his say on us...

Spot on, i can accept defeat by the likes of Liverpool and even Portsmouth who are a good team, but i cant accept never being in a game from the 1st min, Big sam takes all the blame, but it surely does not take a genius manager with amazing tactics to put up a fight against the likes of Derby,Reading etc..
