He loves a whinge does our Walter Mardy. -
Particularly associated party transers being marked down to remaining amortisation value for the selling club but at the same time marked up to fair market value for the buying club. That's clearly unjust and anti-competitive.
-
It's a bit of chicken/egg, we have been getting good crosses in but had no one with the instinct to get on the end of them, and without that we're less likely to try to get crosses in.
-
Also, unlike Isak and Wilson, they are probably very well suited to playing together, with Woltermade playing more like a 10, which gives us far more tactical flexibility than we had before.
-
Seems strange for us to do that because it shouldn't make a difference to us in PSR terms and you would think we would get a lower price for paying it all upfront.
-
Yes we're overpaying if that's the fee but we can’t go into a CL campaign with just Woltermade and Osula, we have no other option and Wissa is a very good option. Overall we will have come out of this window with a much stronger squad and better first 11.

I don't think they actually are called loyalty bonuses, from what I understand it's usually the signing on fee they're talking about. That is paid in installments over the length of the player's contract, with the remaining paid in full if they leave before their contract ends, unless they make a formal transfer request.

Aye, like Tony Jimenez with Luka Modric, two bald cunt peas in a pod they are.
-
Looks taller than BDB here!
-
He scored 14 goals in a side that finished 16th, in today's market that does probably make him worth around £60m
-
This is exactly the type of signing I wanted. Blows away all of the negativity around the Isak saga.
-
There are, but they're virtually impossible to enforce and obviously it actually happens all of the time.
-
I think you know the answer.
-
Really positive start, much better than I expected given our awful pre-season.

I used to be friends with Ollie Vaulkhard many moons ago, he's actually a lovely bloke.

To be pedantic, the issue was about control rather than separation, the issue was the Saudi state having control over the club (and as such the Saudi state needing to be included as a director and undergo the owners and directors test). There was never an issue with PIF itself, PIF was disclosed as a director and underwent the owners and directors test, that was confirmed by the PL's letter disclosed in the High Court decision: "If [PLL] then decides that KSA will not become a Director, then it will proceed to a decision on the application of Section [F] to the individuals who have been declared, including PIF."
