  1. who gives a **** what ashley does with ashleys money.

As long as our football club is under M J A Holdings or whatever the f*** its called, we have every right to look at what he does with 'his' money.

IT IS NOT OUR FOOTBALL CLUB (yes i was shouting) Mike Ahsley ownes the club lock stock and barrell, where just paying supporters.  It's been like that for a fair few years now.

We have no right to comment on anything Ashley does with his money or time. Like it or not that the facts.

    :okay:

  2. I think we all need to accept that there is a very good chance a BIG club will come in for HBA maybe in the summer, maybe later on but at some point it will happen.

And we should fully expect him to make it very clear to us IF he wants to leave, cannot see him being a pro about it but we knew this.. look at how we got him and the actions he took to get his move here.

Which furthers my point as to why this is a relevant issue...

  3. I think most will be aware that Ben Arfa at times have been a troublesome person to deal with. Now, that was then, so stop being a negative c***.

    Ridiculous.

No. There is no reason to be going on about Ben Arfa's history. Everyone is aware of it, and he should be able to start from scratch one here.

It was meant to be a topical, not inflammatory post, as Dave suggested.

I agree that he should be able to start from scratch here, however I disagree that 'everyone' is aware of his past...

No we don't. Don't be ridiculous. For starters, him losing a few grand at the casino isn't going to affect the long-term future of our club, and secondly, do other people have the right to tell you what to spend your money on? No they don't, and it's no different for Ashley regardless of what he owns.

And what about when it's a loss of £1.2 million in the space of two hours, a week before one of our most promising players for years is sold?

Are... are you suggesting, um, genuinely thinking... for real, that Ashley sold AC to cover personal gambling losses?

Not convinced he ever actually thinks about what he says on here

I'm not convinced they are even his own opinions or just what he thinks will make him popular daft though it sounds. Just look at the above reply where he's now flip flopping and agreeing it was a tongue in cheek remark in an effort to get back onside.

You think I'm trying to make myself popular on these forums!?

  5. Choosing to ignore the trouble he had with Gerets, Cisse, M'Bami (not Zubar) and Deschamps at Marseille - as well as his unprofessionalism during the move from Lyon to Marseille, and Marseille to Newcastle.

Deny it all. Are you his little brother or something?

  6.

And what about when it's a loss of £1.2 million in the space of two hours, a week before one of our most promising players for years is sold?

Please tell me that was tongue in cheek.

Of course it was, the reactions are fucking priceless.

  7. <<My only concern is the influx of French nationals - as altercations with fellow countrymen seem to have been one of the biggest problems in his career.

Hopefully he'll get on with the lads in our squad better than he has with the likes of Squillaci, Benzema and Gallas.>>

It's not the first time I read you writing  "half of the thruth" concerning HBA.

He made a lot of mistakes in his career and when he refused to play at Paris because he was on the bench, is his most very stupid one.

But I can't let you say that he always had "altercations" with his team mates. It's wrong, a false reputation established by some web journos for teenagers...

He had an altercation with Squillaci at Lyon, yes, but nobody knows exactly what really happen...

He never clashed with Benzema, they just both discovered that they were not friends...

Concerning Gallas, you made a mistake, HBA never played with him. The altercation was with Nasri. It began during Euro 2008 with national team and after when they both played at Arsenal.

Most importantly, you will find a lot of his ex team mates, from Lyon or Marseille - Bodmer, Kim Kallstrom, Boumsong, Cheyrou, Niang etc. - who talk about his geat human quality and kindness.

As much as I enjoy your posts, almost everything you say is incredibly biased towards defending/hyping-up Hatem Ben Arfa - which almost invalidates your posts...

HBA has had problems with various players throughout his career. Diaby at Clarefontaine. Benzema (which you'll probably deny) and Squillaci at Lyon (which you'd rather ignore). Following a loss against Sochaux (I think) HBA criticised/insulted Squillaci and they then had a scrap in the dressing room...

Following his transfer to Marseille, didn't he tell La Provence that Lyon was a shit club, and they had an awful set of players? I remember a friend in Toulon telling me this... At Marseille there were reports of him having scraps with Cisse, and Zubar (I think?) Never really looked too much into what Gallas said, but didn't Ben Arfa apparently tell him to 'focus on his own game'.

You absolutely cannot defend him returning late from Tunisia, faking an injury against PSG and refusing to warm up, during the biggest match in the season (in which his side were losing at home in) - what about the well-documented fall-out(s) with Deschamps?

I've followed Marseille since I was 9/10 years old, you can't fool me with this Ben Arfa is an angel bullshit. At times, he was an absolute cunt at Marseille - yet I can think of at least 10 games where he came on as a sub and won the game by himself.

I don't have some kind of vendetta against Ben Arfa, I just know what he is capable of...

Finally, someone who can correct Colocho's faux-knowledge of French football.

    I salute you.

You need to give up this obsession. You can take up whatever you need to with me at Blue October.

  10. I think coming here has (and will) do him the world of good. My only concern is the influx of French nationals - as altercations with fellow countrymen seem to have been one of the biggest problems in his career.

Hopefully he'll get on with the lads in our squad better than he has with the likes of Squillaci, Benzema and Gallas.

Sorry not to get caught up in all the  :smitten: but I've followed his career for a while now - and have seen the best and worst of him. I have no doubts that he, like Cabaye can become one of the best players this club has ever had.

  11. Someone who doesn't subscribe to the Ameobi nonsense that pollutes this forum?

He's not fit to wear the shirt and hasn't been for a long time.

Exactly. The only funny thing about Shola is sympathy that people have for him.

  12. Claiming he's a prick won't stop him being the best left back we've ever had in the Premier League. We don't know what happened behind the scenes, but I'd much rather we'd succeeded in keeping him.

This thing about looking at the league is funny like. I forgot that a season is 6 games long.

Coloccini will be a money-hungry traitor this time next year.

  13. Stories like this are dangerous. It's the club moving via the Chronicle.

People will read that headline, won't realise there aren't any quotes whatsoever from the player and a few months down the line say "But he said he'll sign a new contract?"

It's stories like this that turn heroes into traitors...

Think that's taking it a bit far, isn't it just the normal rumour and speculation that surrounds these things?

Only time will tell, I suppose. The best we can hope for is the club to offer him a deal at the summit of the wage cap.

How's that United 4 Newcastle pressure group coming along ColochotheClown?

United For Newcastle is GallowgateKev, so a shambles, obviously.

  15. "The Chronicle understands Coloccini is ready to sit round the table and discuss a new contract at St James’ Park. United officials are thought to be receptive to the idea, although the negotiations will be largely about the former La Liga star’s weekly wage rather than the length of any potential new deal."

You'd bloody well hope they are 'receptive' to the idea of our captain signing an extension!

No quote from Colo himself or suggestion from Jonas about a new contract, obviously.
