  1. My mate in France has told me that L'Equipe today, contained an article about a bid for Sessegnon, for around £3m (I can't remember exactly). He plays for Le Mans and has apparently emerged as a very promising prospect this season. I think he's an attacking midfielder, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone else know anything about him?

  2. Duff through on goal, slips without getting ball under control. And he's still a top player?

Not a top player, but he's still a better footballer than our other midfielders.

Any chance that Stoke will be tempted to take Smith off our hands as a freebie? <_<

Are you crazy? Duff still hasn't had a decent game for us. Butt, Barton, Milner and N'Zogbia are all better players than he is.

To me, Duff just looks much more comfortable with a football than any of the other players you've mentioned. That doesn't mean he's been better for us than the rest though.

He looks comfortable because he doesn't do anything.

  3.

    Who?, Bellamy mentioned it?...

Yes, I think he did it to take the piss out of us because he went for a fraction of his worth, the article and link was discussed on here at the time.

We accepted a £5m bid from Birmingham but Bellamy turned the move down. In the end he went for less than that.

''He shunned a move to Birmingham City, texting Souness and chairman Freddy Shepherd ''I am Craig Bellamy and I don't sign for shit football clubs.''

  4. The race card has been used to shift blame from Evra/Man utd onto Chelsea.

I think the groundsmen are within their rights to tell the players to keep out of the box and to run another direction so as not to funk up the pitch, it's not even their pitch FFS!!

As somebody above said: sore losers (can't stand 'em).

under premier league rules, the opposition is allowed access to any part of the pitch at any time after a match, so the groundsman wasn't doing his job

Maybe the whole thing was planned? Say the groundsman was meant to entice Evra into a fight and subsequently unsettle the whole club before a Champions League semi-final and title run in. Notice how no Chelsea players were involved whatsoever. There were what, 6 or 7 Man Utd players out there and this whole story does not affect Chelsea players or Avram Grant at all. I reckon Chelsea would have rather played Barcelona in the final.

We don't know what Abramovich is capable of, and I wouldn't put this past him.

  5. Well it wasn't at the match, but after the game yesterday when the police took the buses through an estate of terraced houses.

This little kid, probably about 6 or 7 ( not of an english orogin ) was on his bike with his mam and a few of his brothers/mates whatver.

When our bus was going past him, he decided to look at our bus, taking his eyes off where he was going, and rode straight into a lampost and went over his handlebars.

I know it's probably not funny to laugh, but everyone on our bus was howling. I still couldn't stop laughing about 5 minutes later.

Sorry for the thread-starter, but i had to let it out

Anyone else seen or done anything daft while at a game ?

This post says a lot about the person you are.

  6. It'd mean even more of a concentration of the best English players at the richest clubs, with maybe a few of the better foreigners released for the not-quite-so-rich ones.

For Irish players it would be bad news.

    The Mackems would be fucked.

  7. I've seen Sahin play twice this season for Feyenoord, he scored on both occasions. He's simply everything we'd want Emre to be. He's had a great season on-loan, scoring 9 goals in 28 games.

He could well be turning into the ultimate attacking midfielder and would give our team the dimension we desperately need, for years until one of the world's biggest teams come in for him presuming he lives up to his promise. Sahin is the sort of player who will pick up the ball in midfield and instantly make his mind up whether to distribute the ball or run into space, personally I prefer him over Modric as it is. He can create and finish, his sight is similar to someone like Messi's although he does not have the pace of someone like him.

What makes Sahin outstanding is his passing ability. If he is put in behind Owen and Martins we could have a devastating strike partnership on our hands.

This is the sort of player who over years could aid our transition into a well-respected European club again.
