I personally think Tal Ben-Haim was a one season wonder and the rest are too old to be worthwhile signing. I've been impressed with Kevin-Prince Boateng this season, would improve our midfield to no end.

West Brom, for all their attacking prowess, showed themselves to be absolute twats in my eyes. Easily the dirtiest side we've played against this season. The way Olsson and Tamas constantly berated the officials and got off scot free with countless fucking fouls has left a really bitter taste in my mouth. I honestly can't believe how they finished with 10 men on the pitch, absolute disgrace. As for the performance, we looked tired, laboured, but nonetheless a threat. West Brom were the classier side by a distance but I think we just about deserved the draw.

Pancrate's a possible solution. He's lacking somewhat technically, but the guy's undoubtedly quick and having him on the right means Guthrie can move infield, at least partially addressing our lack of athleticism in the centre. Hopefully Barton's return will give Hughton some food for thought.

How much have you seen of him? Not disagreeing btw. To be completely honest, not an awful lot. But I know he has a bit of flair about him- scored with a deft little backheel earlier this season - and he's amassed a total 11 goals in a pretty poor Peterborough side. Definitely more mobile and creative than Nolan and would fulfil the same sort of role. Good age as well, only 24, and would appease Chubs up in the boardroom if we can bring him in for a couple of million and perhaps sell Nolan for double that.

George Boyd would be worth going for imo. Shouldn't be too pricey either.

Was quite an enjoyable first half that. We're definitely a better side at home than away - the football is more fluid, less direct, and as a result we've carved out a few great chances. Jonas is having an absolute stormer on the left, their right back just cannot get near him. Though Derby, while looking very suspect at the back, have played quite well too, and probably should have scored. Will hopefully make for a good second half.

I think he's better than Simpson personally. Bar Peterborough, Simpson's looked very average when I've seen him play.
