  1. thats a great ball by geremi, that must be what, 60 or 70 yards on the diagonal?
  2. diao coming off with injury. glenn whelan on. shame, he's crap
  3. bbc radio newcastle just said that ranger scored for the U18's today too
  4. bloody radio has crap reception. is there an internet feed for the radio commentary anywhere?
  5. You'd hope they'd be able to win the midfield battle... Amdy Faye (nuff said) and Salif Diao (couldn't get a game at Pompey when they were shit) is a totally holocaust central midfield pairing.
  6. Oooh, that is a tasty line up if Geremi can at least have a half decent game. If we need to attack a bit more then take him off for Viduka and its the formation a lot have been calling for. My only major gripe is having three target men and three centre halves on the bench. Surely just leave Cacapa or Edgar off and stick LuaLua or someone on, in case someone gets injured in midfield or whatever.

  9. very risky to hire him in the first place.. done nowt to deserve a PL job Well, he did reasonably well at Macclesfield and MK Dons did he not? Yes, he did (very well actually). But it's a huge step up, from League 2 to the Premiership - and crap signings such as Andrews, Robinson, Fowler and Villanueva have helped to prove that. Ince seems to have the qualities to be a good manager, and Blackburn are probably the right club for him, but I think he needed more experience before coming to the big league - maybe a job in the Championship?
  10. suddenly, i feel better. thanks
  11. Thats bollocks Stoke aren't a bad side, yes we need to win but it doesn't mean we'll go down if we don't. Will Spurs go down if they lose their next game? We'll soon see if its 'bollocks' or not, and sorry, Stoke are NOT in the category of being 'not a bad side'.. By Prem standards, they are POOR ; their strengths are Physical play and discipline, nothing more. If NUFC cannot beat them at SJP, they DESERVE to go down - if you don't like it that's tough, but it happens to be true. The Spurs comment is irrelevant ; they have already proved that they can get results against Liverpool and Arsenal which NUFC have NOT, so their prospects look better. Manchester United 1-1 Newcastle Chelsea 0-0 Newcastle I consider Man U and Chelsea to be better than Liverpool and Arsenal. We did get humped off Arsenal but that was with a very very thin squad, and we haven't even played Liverpool yet. You need to consider things a bit more before coming out all guns blazing and making such bold statements.
  12. Can really see this being our game of two halves - shit first half, great second half. It entirely depends on whether or not Stoke turn up and punish us in that first half to determine what result we'll get.
