True, he played well against Villa that season when he came on, but just let him go.
I assume you mean West Ham? When Ramage got done for both opening goals and then he came on and looked class next to Huntington at CB?
Yes, he was good then. But he's at the age now when he needs to be much better to get into our team, and he really isn't. Too inconsistent really.
People wanting to keep Edgar, even to sell, is just baffling. He's just a Championship-quality defender. Let Roeder take him on a free.
He may have been out of position away at West Ham, but his passing and general marking were just shocking. Funny to think that Bassong actually came on for him in the second half.
The NE5 one would have to be like a big NE5 on top of the front, then a big photo of Shepherd, then underneath, OLD BOARD?
and on the back, a big MICK on top of the front, then a big photo of Ashley, then underneath NEW BOARD?
I really look at this and think it's Owen's way of letting us all down gently, by blaming the blokes upstairs and/or Kinnear when he leaves on a free transfer.
God. This is terrible. This is also why I am not a religious man. If there really was a God, he wouldn't let this kind of thing happen to a true gent like Sir Bobby.
Keep fighting, and keep your head up Bobby.
Viduka should never be brought off the bench, in any circumstance. He's one of those players who takes his time to have an effect on a game. He should either start or not feature at all.
I think it's a large part of the problem.
However, didn't Keegan take off Martins when we were drawing with Birmingham, beating Fulham, beating Reading and beating Sunderland? All four of those are against similarly shit opposition and barring the different CB pairing and a few other different players, they were similar situations. Us crusing against sub-standard opposition. So Martins leaving the field simply cannot be the whole reason for us imploding. I'd say it's about 65% resposible though.
