So many 50-50 tackles were given either to Man U or weren't given as a foul if the ball fell to a Man U player today, it was so annoying and yet completely expected by basically everyone.

Was so annoyed at us conceding two goals from corners; we hardly ever concede from them any more after years and years of leaking them basically every week. Since we came up I can only recall Bent's consolation in the 5-1 and Goodwillie for Blackburn in the cup last season. The first twenty minutes of tentative play and pointless long balls lost us the game before it had even started. What followed for 40 minutes or so was relatively encouraging in patches but the sucker punch goal to knock the stuffing out of us was so inevitable it wasn't funny. Also, today was just so totally NOT the game to bring Shola on. We needed a bit more urgency and that's the last thing he brings; then again, we had no other genuine striking options on the bench. I find it perplexing that we name Sammy as a sub every single week if we're not going to fucking play him, when Marveaux and Amalfitano can't even get in the 18.

Starting to piss me off how he knocks the ball out of play every time it comes near him.

The only time I've seen shirt pulling leading to a pen in recent times was Williamson's pull in the derby last March. Aye, I said that earlier on. Happens to our players countless times and we never get anything for it.

I think it'll be a poor, nervy, edgy performance where we get a point. 1-1, Shola to score first and Fletcher to equalise.

His performance today was irritating, fussy and biased heavily towards the visitors. The two linesmen, particularly the Milburn stand one, were just as abject. We'd already lost the game before he started acting the cunt though, in fairness.

Our record at home, and our record against Man U lately, are both very good. It's far from a foregone conclusion, no matter how poor our play has been.

Our record against them lately is pretty good, but I can't help but think we're due one of those defeats where we play well and concede a few really unlucky goals. I still think score draw, but wouldn't be surprised to see 0-2.
