They're not even buying top quality players, though. In their squad they have only two "top bracket" PL players - Tevez and Kompany. Everyone else (Hart and A.Johnson aside - they will be top bracket in a year or two) is second or third bracket imo. It's easy enough to give Mancini £100m but in the end he's still playing in the same soft play area as the likes of Everton, Villa, Liverpool etc and just paying over the odds for that standard of player. The purchases of Balotelli and Kolarov look fucking horrendous at this stage.
