I get that he's thick as pigshit, aye.
  3. And you know exactly what Dowie's contribution was how? I don't know how he knows but he's right.
  4. I know it doesn't mean a great deal but in the last half an hour, he's just gone from 5/1 to 6/4 to join us this summer.
  5. Someone needs to remind him he's got £100 to send to the SBR Foundation.
  6. There are rumours in Newcastle that Stifler is gay. I thought that since it hasn't actually been released and that they are only unconfirmed rumours then it's ok to post it.
  7. You think a week is an instant decision? Its simple really, does he want to stay or not. Pretty easy really. A week is nothing. Not sure why people expect these things to go through this quickly. It's the same with some of our transfer targets, people saying 'move on' if we haven't signed someone within a couple of weeks of being linked to them. EDIT: Very naive if you believe it's 'pretty easy'. Its a decision over 6 months or more, even more naive to think its only dawned on him the past 7 days. How can he decide on something he was offered maybe a week ago, six months ago? He may not have been sure what he wanted to do, decided to see what was put on the table and then go from there. Like Dave said, there's also other factors like waiting to see who we sign too. Dont be stupid, he has had 6 months to decide if he wants to be here long term. The contract is apparently(yeah i know) a very good one so its either good enough to stay or it isnt. Of course there could be other factors but he will have a pretty clear idea of what he wants already before now. You've just said yourself that the contract could have been a very good one which could have changed his mind but that still doesn't mean he'll give a quick response. It's hardly rocket science. The point being he will know what he wants beforehand so the contract will just confirm what he is going to do. I doubt it will change his mind as we wont be offering groundbreaking money or owt. Didnt think it needed to be explained but never mind. It might have changed his mind, though. Nobody knows that. We also don't know what he's been told alongside the contract offer which could also influence his decision which could be what the deal hinges on. You still seem to think it's as easy as giving a yes or no answer when it's a lot more complex than that. A yes or no answer based on 6 months of thinking, a simple fact you want to ingore. You can pretend otherwise but imo he knows what he wants on way or the other. Nevermind.

EDIT: Very naive if you believe it's 'pretty easy'. Blame Football Manager's transfer/contract module, which is pretty much based on a 1 week turn around! I'd say that's the vast majority of most people's experience. Aye thats it exactly, nothing to do with him having 6 months to think about it before the offer like, lets blame if on FM ffs I was speaking in a broader sense, like!

  13. We only offered him the contract, what, about a week ago? Give him time to mull it over, can't just expect an instant decision.
  14. Hope we're in for Kyle Walker if Spurs sell him in the summer.

    Gervinho

Are you a journo? Sensationalism at its best! What he actually said was "will have more on that come Tuesday morn".

And, You didn't ask him "Are you Demba Ba?" He was going in the opposite direction to us and it was only once we'd gone past him we realised it might have been him.

My mate and I thought we saw Demba Ba at Alton Towers today.
  18. That's how I interpreted it too. Could mean anything. Crouch may have said no again. If it were chalk him off as in got him I'm sure we'd have heard something more concrete now as opposed to him recommending Newcastle to play for( not that means anything in the grand scheme of things). I've always taken chalking something off to mean it's ruled out. Would be very surprised if it's to say they've signed someone. Could well be Crouch, sure I've seen something in one of the national papers about him turning them down.
  19. Looks a very classy player.
