I've wanted us to sign Debuchy for long enough and said in the Summer that he should have been brought in to replace Simpson. I've defended Simpson when people have gone way over the top about him. There have also been times when you've tried to defend the indefensible.

He's proven to be one of the very best strikers in the Premiership over the course of the last two seasons, especially first half of last season and this. Playing in a better team that create loads more chances, I wouldn't be surprised if he gave Van Persie a run for his money for Premiership top goalscorer. Point being Abramovich won't want his £50m striker sat on the bench.

He's a special player in his own right. Agreed. Think Ba is the better all-round footballer but Cisse is the better out-and-out striker. Completely disagree like. Wouldn't rule out the idea of them getting more than 1 striker. They'll be in for Falcao/Cavani IMO. If they sign one of those as well as Ba he'll literally never get a game. He'd be their League Cup striker at best.
