Dunno why people are apparently expecting us to blow teams away with swashbuckling football. We won a load of games like this last year very scrappily, it wasn't Stoke or West Brom every week. I don't think anyone's expecting it but it would be nice to look like we're making an attempt to play better stuff and to create chances. Absolutely. But some of these posts make it look like we're going for the title. If we want to be competing for the top 4 (this is what Pardew keeps on telling us) then we should be putting in a better performance than this against arguably the worst team in the league. That goes for the way Pardew has set us up too.

In a roundabout kind of way, this could actually make it a better trip. There could easily be upwards of 8,000 fans who are travelling without a ticket - that'll make for a cracking atmosphere in the city centre during the game. Regardless of the ticket news I still can't wait, going to be a class trip I reckon.
