  4. I quite like the design (not the underarm bit though). If you squint, it makes the stripes look furry
  5. Pienaar was mentioned on the Football Ramble this week. Some guy emailed in after he'd had a conversation with him in a club (following the Ireland - South Africa match). Pienaar said: 1) He wishes he was from Ivory Coast because 'South Africa are rubbish' 2) He hasn't seen his bank account since going to Everton and tells his assistant whenever he wants something. 3) He has a fantasy league team called 'Steven's Bitches' but didn't pick himself, otherwise he'd always be shooting on sight. He did put Tim Cahill in, though.
  6. Very rarely works out that way though. At least one of those teams will probably drop shock points and not top their group. France, Brazil and Germany could be like that. But for that to happen with these groups.....its asking a lot - even with Maradona!
  7. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6162431,00.html I think we're all hopeful too....
  8. More positivity from Sky Sports http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6161999,00.html
  9. Those points totals for Barcelona/Real are incredible. Absolutely incredible. I'm looking forward to the one-upmanship this summer: Barca: We'll get Villa Real: Well maybe we'll get Mourinho Barca: Yeah? How does Fabregas sound to you? Real: Not bad. But what about Silva.....
  10. Argentina, England, Holland, Italy and Spain to win their groups (all bankers really) is roughly 4/1. Easy-ish money!
  11. Spurs are already getting Sandro too aren't they?? Their squad will be outrageous next season
  12. After a few transitional seasons, they're finally ready to properly challenge for the league next season. But if they sell Fabregas.......well theres another few years in the wilderness.
  13. Shame theres no bet on Cesc staying with Arsenal
  14. joseba etxeberria did something similar recently, but it was a 'thank you' gesture to athletic i think. well done gooch
  15. Daily Mail thinks Avram Grant's first act at West Ham is to buy Jamie O' Hara. Stoke want Robert Koren Gary Speed has rejected the chance to become Hull manager.....good lad. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/135827/Gary-Speed-snubs-chance-to-become-the-new-Hull-manager/
  16. Somewhere said that Hughton has scoured a list of 150 free transfers, so he'll definitely be aware of Boyd. And Boyd probably wont get a bigger club in for him....he'll have the choice of turkey, the championship, us and maybe birmingham. It just makes too much sense to get him. Thats the problem.
  17. aaarrggghh!! that white patch is massive
  18. Out of all the managers in the world....those 4? Lets hope they get one of them
  19. I'm shocked about Koren like. Not quite sure what he did wrong, but he'll land on his feet somewhere good.
  20. The Sun says that managerless West Ham have signed Sidney Govou on a free. A lot of the papers are going with a Man City bid for James Milner. All quoted £24m.
  21. Bursaspor became only the 5th team to ever win the Turkish League last night. Fenerbahce fans rioted in the stands.....it was in their own hands and they threw it away.
  22. This one is in progress, but I've got Rosenborg, Copenhagen, Valencia and Real Madrid. Copenhagen are in the bag, but Valencia is the tricky one. £1 returns £4.73. Hoping to raise money for some early World Cup bets.
  23. Yeh itll be nailed on. With Chamakh off to Arsenal too, it seems like a promising team is splitting up. Can't see Gourcuff staying in that situation either.
  24. Can't see Triesman lasting the week. Those comments could be damaging......and more proof that the English press want misery for England.
