is gomes actually that good?? i dont get the impression he is. more like a flash in the pan...not that ive watched too much of him like
-
....but its true though. although it doesnt take into account the big winless streak we had and the squad being devoid of confidence or belief at the time Keegan came in. not defending allardyce, just saying maybe he wasnt as bad as people seem to think (based on results.....the football was pig ugly!!)
-
allardyce left us in 11th place, with an average of 1.238 points per game since keegan came, we've finished 12th, with an average of 1 point per game i guess its not as simple as that, but it is interesting......
-
when i woke up today, i never thought i'd see snitsky and allardyce on the same thread haha
-
And if he's good enough for Liverpool, surely he's good enough for us?? They are a top 4 side after all....

This guy is perfect.

Sporting Life reckon Bayern are buying Gomez for money-plus-Podolski http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=international_feed/08/06/19/SOCCER_Ger-Bayern_Munich_Gomez.html If I were Stuttgart I'd bite their arm off....

no it wouldn't yes it would!

i'll never understand all the milner hate tbh. ive always rated the guy, canny player who tries his hardest. lets put it like this, if it came down to ability alone we'd be a lot higher up the table - the problem is half-arsed attempts by our spoilt and pampered players. milner works his socks off and sometimes thats exactly what we need. i'd be sad to see him go (especially for the prices quoted!)
-
for us or for villa/liverpool?? Have a guess, using the rest of my post to figure it out. haha i get it now. i reckon we could squeeze more money out of them, especially looking at some other transfers that have happened over recent years.
-
for us or for villa/liverpool??
-
am i the only one that rates milner?? i'd be gutted if we sold him especially for only 7mill. apart from lack of speed, he's a good winger and has a good cross on him. but what i like is that during low periods of the season (like around new year time) he's often the one thats scrapping for everything. in a team of pampered underachievers, the kid has great work rate and i think thats what we'd be losing.
-
wow. spurs are gettin capel. so that means we were after him, yeh?? someone must have tied alan oliver up and gagged him...

fiorentina are getting gilardino. handy little signing, even if hasnt been great for milan http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11854_3608691,00.html

gutted about this one. we cant even get bournemouth players now.....

its backwards logic Think he said it was to keep French football competitive, which sounds pretty patronising. "we're sick of winning the league, please can somebody give us a challenge next time?" even though bordeaux ran them fairly close.
-
yeh but we missed the first matchday. theres one coming up at the weekend i think....

Manchester United have made bids for French starlets Jeremy Helen and Darnel Situ. 15-year-old Helen is one of the most sought after teenagers in Europe and United look to have beaten Internazionale, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Newcastle and Everton to a deal. Helen, a left-back, is currently with Rennes, who United have now opened talks with about a deal as he has a two-year agreement with the French side. "The player wants to go to Manchester United," admitted Rennes general manger Pierre Dreossi. "And they have made us an offer. "We will gather our thoughts and see whether we will consider it or not, but we will defend our interests." United have already made contact with the family of the Clairefontaine graduate and his mother has confirmed her son is set for Manchester after talks with Sir Alex Ferguson. "Nothing is settled so far," she told L'Equipe. "My son has signed a pre-contract with Rennes and we called for a specialist to look at it. Jeremy is a stable boy and I cannot see any difference between living in Rennes or Manchester if you have a good entourage. "I will spend several months and years beside him if needed and my son and I have talked with Alex Ferguson." Money not an issue She insists that the move is not financially motivated and insists United offer him the best chance of progressing in his career. "Internazionale, Newcastle, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Everton also contacted him. Money will not make his choice," she said. "To him, Manchester offers the best career path." Helen is currently a French Under 16 international and he could very well be joined at Old Trafford by compatriot Darnel Situ. Situ - captain of the French Under 16s - is another player United have talked to and now they are closing on the capture of both. Situ is currently attached to Lens, but like with Rennes, they look set to lose one of their prized assets. .......its nice to see Vitere doing his job well. One day we'll get lucky mate

COME ON CZECH REPUBLIC!!!!! Unfortunately we don't have Rosicky, but I fancy us to do quite well. Theres not really one outstandingly good team so its hard to pick a winner....but I'll go for Italy. Or France. Or Germany as an outside bet lol

i hate them cos deep down, theyre kinda what i want newcastle to be.....apart from the london-ness and cockiness and smaller stadium. they really get under my skin, definitely up there with man utd, smoggies and scumderland.
