  1. Somebody is stupid enough. He seems like a Moyes/Allardyce type of player. I disagree about Martins, he's still very higly rated and considering Darren Bent left a relegated team for £16million, TWO YEARS AGO......£8million for Martins should be a minimum.
  2. This club needs a dramatic overhaul from top to bottom and the only way that would sink in was if something drastic happened. Now it has. This might be naivity, but I'd sacrifice one relegation for the sake of stabilising and becoming a football club again, rather than a comedy club. Can you imagine how much worse it would have got next season? The Championship still has a hint of honesty and innocence, especially compared to the corruptness of the top flight. So while ultimately that is where we need to be again, I think spending time in a league where fans genuinely seem happy isn't that bad. Also, its very unpredictable. We might even win a few matches!!!

    Steve Harper

Its became more obvious since Given left that actually, they weren't on the same level at all. But yes, there's more important positions to strengthen.
  4. Realistically; Bassong (£8m) Enrique (£4m) Coloccini (£6m) Jonas (£4m) Martins (£9m) Geremi (£1m) Smith (£4m) Barton (£2m) Xisco (£2m) Plus Owen, Viduka, Lovenkrands and Cacapa on Frees. That totals to £40 million. I think some are underestimating how inflated the market is, we can easily make that much money.
  5. Wasnt there some statistic that the season before we were the 4th most televised Premiership team?? Meaning we beat one of the "Big 4". Surely we've done it again?
  6. Dunno if its been mentioned, but Leverkusen have signed Eren Derdiyok
  7. Iain Dowie signed Daniel Fox for Coventry, so we know he rates him. Hopefully thatll work in our favour cos I think he's fantastic. And we should go out of our way to sign James McCarthy....even for the £4million Swansea were quoted. Wasn't Kris Boyd at SJP in January?? If he wanted to sign for Birmingham, then surely he'd want to join us. Basically, Scotland is a goldmine because apart from the Old Firm, people see the Championship as a step up (or at least a sideways step). Its gonna be an exciting summer
  8. CM will have to be between geremi, smith, raylor and coloccini. but its irrelevant tbh
  9. atletico madrid (2000), sevilla (2000), leeds united (2004), manchester city (1996, 2001) west ham (2003), sampdoria (1999), fiorentina (2002) and many more.. im sorry, but big teams do go down. will it be newcastle united (2009)??
  10. think back to our 1-5 against liverpool......then remember how worse we've got......then remember how shit liverpool are......and we're playing MAN UNITED!! sit tight everyone
  11. should rest players for the hull match. cos itll be a raping whoever we play
  12. Trying to avoid knee-jerking............i think thats it for us. in a months time we'll be well into the bottom 3 and itll be too late to save it. face up to it lads/lasses, its over :'( PS/ my relegation predictor now looks like this: 13 Portsmouth 43 14 Sunderland 42 15 Blackburn 41 16 Stoke 40 17 Hull 39 18 Middlesbrough 38 19 Newcastle 37 20 West Brom 30
  13. I HATE LIVERPOOL THE SELFISH CUNTS!! theyve lost on purpose. if we needed them to lose you'd guarantee theyd win, but noooo the planks lose to frickin boro!! y'know i look at our squad and the players returning from injury and get optimistic.........then you get bellends like liverpool and man city that lose stupid games to boro, stoke etc. AAAAAAAARRRRGGHHH!!!! theyre so selfish. its like liverpool and arsenal are having a contest to see who can be more pathetic. this season is hell, im praying for a miracle. stupid liverpool.. *rant over*
  14. am i a bad person because i cheered on copenhagen the other night, purely for given? i thought i'd be alright with him leaving, but apparantly not....the way he left really does leave a sour taste. loyal for 12 years, but i hope he fails miserably there. its man city ffs.

    March

Harper Beye Coloccini Bassong Enrique Raylor Nolan Barton Jonas Viduka Martins SUBS: Krul, Saylor, Geremi, Duff, Owen, Ameobi, Guthrie Lovenkrands, Cacapa, Ranger, Caroll, Butt and Smith dont even make the bench......we really do have a pretty good squad. now we just need to sort the manager out. is there any way our permanant injury struggles can stop? we're long past the point where its a coincidence. something needs to be done
  16. stopped watching after 15 minutes. boring as hell.
  17. 46 is more than enough to survive. loads more. we're on 28 now, so i reckon another 11 should do it.
  18. even though i hate spurs with a passion....we needed them to win tonight. so woohoo!!! hull definitely look the most vulnerable team at home out of the 3 promoted sides and I think this could be disastrous for them.
  19. Yes, for the Arsenal match. Theyve been an absolute joke this season and theyre there for the taking....especially at SJP
  20. raylor and nolan are liverpool fans......theyll be right up for this one!!
  21. its a MUST-NOT-LOSE........ideally a win. need 4 points from the next two, otherwise we're screwed.
  22. we need stoke to lose and bloody hell theyve only went 2-1 up!! gutted
  23. he's a danger to other players. totally irresponsible and a twat as well. he's got no redeemable features.
  24. That Irish Times article is wrote in a really strange way. I found it a fascinating read though.....but the guy is far too honest. He must learn this lesson for his next job.
