Starting off with Stevie Harper possibly seeing out his contract and joining the smoggies in the summer http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1094572/Troubled-Kinnear-looking-set-face-loss-Harper-Owen.html News of the World reckons Joey Barton's had another setback and he'll be out til March http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/99372/JOEY-BARTON-OUT-TILL-MARCH.html And finally - you guessed it - JFK says something idiotic http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/kinnear-sales-talk-adds-to-fog-on-tyne-1065966.html and now its time to lose and probably stay in the relegation zone over xmas....but chin up guys, Kinnear knows what he's doing mackems.gif

the shop is a great idea, just a bit expensive for my liking. keep up the good work though

oh goody - our annual away day hammering at the big four/tricky championship side. drives me insane every year. just give us a good tie for once....
-
not putting lower league players in: given beye coloccini wheater bassong jonas malbranque barton downing owen tuncay martins and pogatetz just miss out. really wanted to put a tall striker in there but theres only ameobi, jones and mido.......damn! subs: gordon, pogatetz, guthrie, arca, martins, cisse, jones

next week: arsenal vs wigan blackburn vs liverpool man utd vs sunderland bolton vs chelsea big weekend for us, and we have to beat stoke. west hams next 3 games are liverpool, spurs and chelsea too
-
not a bad set of results today, although we could have done without wigan winning. cant help feeling that the win was there and we missed the boat again. need to turn these draws into wins soon

Which players do you think would stay if we got relegated?
Ketsbaia replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
I'd go with GK: Harper, Krul DEF: Bassong, Taylor, Edgar MID: Guthrie, Duff, Butt FOR: Carroll, Ameobi (plus the young 'uns) Duff, Butt and Taylor are there because realistically we couldn't get rid of ALL the deadwood. But having said that, other teams rate Taylor highly for some reason and Wigan/Bolton are always linked with Butt. Carroll and Shola up front.....put on yer kagools cos itll be raining goals!! -
haha it made my night. fantastic.

YET ANOTHER terrible weekend for results, if everton dont win. bloody hell, when are we ever gonna get a break??
-
On the pitch we're fine but I'm worried for January. Seems unfair that its taken a few years to assemble this squad and now some makeshift manager comes in and dismantles it. I don't trust him to replace them, just like I dont trust his tactics. Enrique and N'Zogbia (maybe Owen too) are going and I guess if people come in for Barton and Given, Ashley will get his revenge by cashing in. To get the last laugh. Then the squad is worse and we wont be fine on the pitch. And if he cant sell the club....oh dear. I hope I'm overreacting

When do you think Michael Owen will leave Newcastle United?
Ketsbaia replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
Agreed. Keeping us in the Premiership as well as the end of season prize money (isnt it 500k per place?) pays off any potential fee (plus wages). -
theyre a weird team. on the one hand, theyre squad should be nowhere near this high in the league and theyve lost at home to west brom and bolton. then they pull out some cracking results at villa park and against spurs. jekyll and hyde

what if given leaves?? (god i hope not)

Guardian: Shearer clears way to become Newcastle manager
Ketsbaia replied to thewellander's topic in Football
i've always maintained that shearer should wait. but momentum has been gathering and its as if we've send out an SOS call. the club is in crisis, the city is in crisis and we need our knight in shining armour - shearer's the one. its time, alan. save us. -
out of the list of players that have scored against us, it can only be denilson really. we could get samba too, but bburn wouldnt loan him. and i'd be dead happy with denilson and riise (throw in appiah and we're laughing)....even though some people thought riise would be crap when we were linked with him in the summer, who'd seriously not take him now? im just worried about who he'll sell....

used to love soccer AM, altho i'll still watch it when i remember to. without lovejoy its just a shadow of its former self tho...... i quite like him on 'something for the weekend' on a sunday morning, he has good banter with simon rimmer. awful awful book though

my friend is mates with one of shearer's daughters and apparantly he wouldnt consider a job until both daughters were at uni. dunno how true that is. -
milner. followed by parker and faye. but definitely milner

by xmas it should settle down, and its imperative we're out of the bottom three by then. yesterday was a disaster and with chelsea next week, its obviously a matter of damage limitations. with stoke vs west brom, spurs vs blackburn, boro vs bolton and sunderland vs west ham, we know our rivals will pick up points and put us further adrift. but if spurs and stoke win, defeat would only mean dropping to 18th. either way, we're in trouble. but still wouldnt take 17th
-
today i realised how much i truly hate this club. for what they put us through. every week, without fail. theyve ruined my life....yet i always come back for more. :-[

From The Sun http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article1932852.ece to be honest, there wont be a better opportunity for him to come here, so no wonder he's throwing his hat in now. dunno if he'd fit with an ambitious new board, but we could do worse.
