sometimes i really hate this club. but i love it so much. COME ON LADS 3-2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
of course we're losing - its newcastle united. we've built quite reputation for this over the years: losing regularly to reading and wigan, as well as the farces that were derby and sheff utd. and now its 2-0, great
-
maybe theyre exchanging panini stickers??
-
wow, this clubs a mess. being an eternal optimist, im hoping this is actually to bring him back.......if only for the sake of the club. but the last 10 days have been freaky.
-
its a bit lame isnt it?? nothing groundbreaking there at all, why wont there be a march anymore??
-
to the tune of the "um bongo" adverts: ambani, ambani they love him in punjabi ......short but simple
-
If Ambani's smart he'd wait til after the demonstrations at the hull match......thatll be the moment it all sinks in for ashley. might lower the price a bit. in regards to keegan, yes it was amazing when he came back and we were full of joy. but after the last few days can we say it was worth it?? we only get the extremes with him and ambani would be wise to steer totally clear of keegan and go in his own direction. forge his own legacy!

i think we all need to be 100% clear what the march is for....no mixed messages, just one very simple aim. march to SJP before the game, whilst circling the ground to get more people on board. then protest before the game complete with banners, songs etc. spend the first 20 minutes of the game outside continuing this, but NO LONGER because we have a match to win. if you're loud enough, the players can hear from the pitch anyways. everyone gets in the ground, continues the protests via singing - making them positive while the match goes on. half time, whack the banners up, everybody stays in the ground (no food, no drinks, no toilet......hold it in and bring a packed lunch ) and go crazy with the negativity, but once the players come back out, its time to support them again. after the match, once we've won, hang around for a while and keep protesting (similar to that blackburn match just before roeder got kicked out/quit). and then our point is finally made: the world watches us non-mongs make a stand, ashley gets financially wounded, the board takes notice, the team wins and the squad has a new respect for its fans. piece of cake (just trying to merge a few seperate ideas into one plan)
-
i'd be ok with van gaal, marcelino or bilic. but wudnt be against deschamps and laudrup. has to be foreign. got a feeling itll have to be spanish, someone who doesnt have a big ego (so he can be ashley's puppet) and has experience working in this set up tho...
-
i honestly thought it was all sorted out and i was happy again. shocking turn of events. we need details before blaming people, but my gut says keegan has let us down at the worst time - even if it was a "matter of principle". btw, how serious were people about boycotts?? we're in deep shit now
-
yepes is still on a free. if he's as good as he was until a year ago, we'd be mad not to get him. same for appiah
-
even though negativity on this forum gets slated by some people, here its entirely justified. in fact, i'd be disappointed if you weren't negative after that shambles of a deadline day. if we get lucky with injuries, we might survive til january......but this is newcastle united. the jinxed club. we're a mess and i guess whats happening with keegan and ashley is a results of this.

one of the papers said we'd sell for 2mill. if thats the case i'd rather we kept him for a year and lose him for nowt. losing out on 2mill will be worth it if his goals win us a trophy, get us into europe or even just get us more prize money from the league. but we need to get him signed up asap to be honest
-
i hate seeing really good players waste potential by playing in qatar/uae/saudi arabia. thats him, wilhelmsson and valdivia over there now. money talks...
-
yeh we'll stuff 'em again. not too gutted with that......guessing we'll be on telly again
-
he's now the most expensive non-capped english player at £12m (its that quiz question that needs updating haha)
-
first of all, forgive me. ive been on holiday for a week and just got back. havnt read ANY of the comments here already. but im absolutely gutted milner has left. all the optimism of the transfer window is going fast as we're struggling to sign players while SWP goes to citeh etc. - now we sell one of our best players?? this is ridiculous dunno who im more angry with tbh, milner or the club. he deserved a better contract and the club should have gave him it, but then again he's leaving us in the lurch with 3 days left of the window.....he knows he cant be replaced in that time. he's also an idiot for thinking aston villa is a better option (money aside). its a sad day when villa are signing our best players, when at the moment we are of similar ability and historically, in my opinion, a bigger club. if it is 10million, thats an ok amount but i reckon we cudda held out for more. just overall, a bad bad move on everyones part, except villa who now have a very good player. also slightly disappointed KK cudnt talk milner into changing his mind. all he had to do was ask for loyalty and explain that he's a vital part of the team......basically just make him feel loved. maybe the board would have caved in eventually and gave him the contract he deserved. he's been my favourite player for years and ive never understood all the milner hate on here. ive defended him til the very end cos he's been unappreciated for too long. i guess theres plenty of holes in what ive just wrote but when im upset i tend to type a lot

corluka, ben haim, richards, dunne, onuoha, kompany. why so many CBs?? unless the corluka bid is getting revived
-
top signing for the mackems. its dead annoying.....
-
the article thinks we're in relegation trouble this year?? no chance. i know the clubs struggled lately but to suggest we're amongst the favourites to go down in a league with hull, stoke, west brom, fulham, wigan and bolton is ridiculous. last season was a disaster and we still ended up 12th (although for a time it was a bit scary).
-
yeh i've always thought we lack physicality. we do have a good amount of pace in the team, but in terms of height and strength....we're a bunch of weaklings. part of the reason portsmouth did so well last year was the physicality of the team. and considering how many goals we could score/concede from set pieces, its a very important issue.

Champions: Man U Champions League: Man U FA Cup: Chelsea League Cup: Man U Top Scorer: Crissy Ronaldo or Jermain Defoe Surprise Package: Wigan, I think theyll finish mid-table as there'll be no surpises in the top half. Also, Middlesbrough will be very very close to relegation as will Blackburn. UEFA Cup: AC Milan Top Four: Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool.....the safe option. The Drop: Fulham, Hull, Stoke (League table: 1 Man U, 2 Chelsea, 3 Arsenal, 4 Liverpool, 5 Everton, 6 Spurs, 7 Aston Villa, 8 Portsmouth, 9 Newcastle, 10 Man City, 11 West Ham, 12 Wigan, 13 Sunderland, 14 Blackburn, 15 Bolton, 16 Middlesbrough, 17 West Brom, 18 Fulham, 19 Hull, 20 Stoke)
