I'm thinking it can't be much more, as the club did allow us to talk to the player, and so they likely felt we were somewhat close to their valuation. I would imagine, anyway. Unless ofc, they didnt let us talk to him at all and we've been a bit naughty here... -

Famous 3 Kings right next to West Kensington tube, not really a Newcastle pub as such but has every game on and always get a few Geordies in there watching. How do they do that though if the game's not being shown live? Do they use a feed from a foreign satellite? Is that legal? Yeah loads of places do it. I know of at least 3 places in my town that show every single NUFC game like. Not legal at all but thankfully the law seem to turn a blind eye towards it. Probably because half of them get in these places to watch NUFC like -
Whats with the love for Eboue that the Arsenal lot seem to have?

Interesting post. Sounds to me like you're the one who is panicking though, and "gathering" all sorts of ideas out of thin air! I know the dude is over 6ft and black, but that does not equate to being like Ba and Shola! Not at all. From what has already been described of him and what i've seen on Youtube, he seems to be a big strong lad who's main attributes are based around his phsyical prescence and aerial ability. Much like Shola and Ba. He's certainly not the type of player we've tracked all summer i.e Erdinc, Gervinho and Gamerio. Unless of course, you've seen a great deal of him and can tell me otherwise rather than assuming im plucking ideas out of thin air? -

From what I can gather it looks a similar type of player to Ba and Shola. Which is probably the resason why we haven't already bid for him. From the players we've been linked with/bid for, it certainly looked like we were after a little nippy striker to play alongside Ba, this guy doesnt really fit the bill. One might even suggest this looks like a bit of a panic buy. But none the less, he scored 15 goals last season and the season before, still relitively young and he's a striker. Something we're absolutely desperate for. Hope it comes off like, even if its out of sheer desperation for a striker with more ability than fucking Lovenkrands, Shola andBest. -
It was a fair bit more than exaggerating tbf.

It is cheating like. It's exactly like feigning and injury or taking a dive. Just because there was contact, it doesnt mean Barton throwing himself to the ground isnt cheating. By your logic, if a player goes down after minimal contact, it's not taking a dive, it's not simulation. Undeniably. Conning the ref has got absolutely f*** all to do with it - it's just so far away from the point it's untrue. Gervinho's actions, a million per cent, deserved a red card, whether Joey goes down or not. It brings up another question, too. If the ref had seen that it wasn't a foul (demonstrated by the play-on) - why wasn't the guy reprimanded for diving? All in all, it would have been a crazy injustice had Gervinho finished the match. Barton just made sure of it; well played lad. Conning the ref has everything to do with it. If Barton hadnt threw himself to the floor would Gervinho have been sent off? Debatable. Yes, Gervinho raised his hand, yes he deserved to go, but for me you cant deny Barton helped the ref make up his mind. I do Like Barton. He's a good player and integral part of the team for me. Think he gets too much stick for his comments at times but he cheated like, without a doubt.

Think I'd cream myself If Podolski came here. Not that it'll happen like.

He scored 9 goals last season. The ever fruitful Best has only mustered 9 goals in a season once before.
