  1. If Coyle had left Burnley for Celtic at the start of the season and they'd appointed Brian Laws I could see them doing a Derby/Sunderland and barely scraping a win all season.
  2. As soon as Bent stops scoring, sunderland stop scoring. Shame it dosent look like its happening anytime soon.
  3. It would be good if they could grab a few more. I think it's us who has the record for the biggest home defeat in English football. 9-0 against the scum some time ago.
  4. Fantastic work from Jose for Nolans goal. Bartons was a corker.
  5. That would be class lolololol It wouldn't like, I cant say I'd be very happy.
  6. No it's not, f***ing barca... Give him a break, The lad dosent even support Newcastle man
  7. Sensible selection today imo. We've got 3 games within a week. 1 of which is against a hopeless load of league 1 fodder. The other is against a decent side chasing promotion. Rest the star performers for Monday night and allow the lads who are low on confidence and havnt had much game time to play against clearly inferior opposition* *Opinion liable to change depending on result.
  8. After those two injuries Owen was a different player tbf. He lost that crucial yard of pace and has never looked the same player since those two horrible injuries that left him out for so long. I have no doubt that without those injuries he would have carried on his form from Real Madrid liek he looked like doing in his earlier days in a Newcastle shirt.
  9. Sadly, I dont think some people will ever be pleased until we appoint a "proper manager".
  10. The same squad that got tonked 7-1 off Leyton Orient then?
  11. Because they're scabs? Do a search on nottingham scabs, just allow at least a week to read about it. Many miners from North Notts were totally commited to the strike action. Many from Northumberland and Durham were not. Anyway FFS what has this got to do with football 25 years on ? Tbf It's not as bad as the Peru fans singing about taking the only bit of coastland Bolivia had in the 1800's.
  12. Hope Barcelona win it like. Must admit though, I cheered when Arsenal scored, gives us a spectacle next week rather than a tie that was already done with. Howay you catalans none the less though.
  13. Barcelona, whenever ive seen them play, dont half strike me as a side that's most vunerable on the break. Concede the battle for possesion, soak up the pressure and attempt to hit them with pace on the counter attack the arse might have a bit of luck. Easier said than done like
  14. For me there is no doubting his ability. He has that nackwhere he can influence games and results. Hulls late little resurgence of form under Brown was largely due to Bullards return. Having said that he's a total crock, ageing etc. and wouldnt represent value for money in any way.
  15. Certainly agree. At points, you see him make mistakes that would be punished at a higher level. Fore example last night, he switched off and left Blackstock unmarked for a good chance, if Blackstock hadnt fluffed his lines and they'd gone 1-0, I'm not too sure we would have pulled it back to win.
