Well, even if we're back in the CL next year, you get the feeling we might not be in the EL unless we're having/had a poor season. Think this team could have went on and done well in it this year - probably would have went in as second favourites. I know getting CL again would kick us on like, but winning the EL would be sweet after those Marseille, Lisbon, AZ capitulations. Feel like we've got history in it.

I'm still sickened by this like, not for missing out on the last 16, but for throwing away Europa League chances. I want to see us win something like. A potential European final in Dublin? That would've worked. With 5th place potentially not likely to get CL, a loss on Tuesday means the rest of the season is fighting probably to qualify for the Europa League. Something we could have been in anyway if we hadn't have been daft at 1-1.

Think the priorities will be Phillips in, another right winger and now a goalkeeper. I dont think we'll sign another centre half until the summer when we'll also probably sign another midfield player. The problem with signing another keeper is that you either go out and get a player whos better than Pope, which means spending big, or you get someone in the short term to replace Dubravka until the end of the season, but there really is limited options. It would have to be a loan or a free. There's no point in signing Ramsdale, if hes going to be relegated to the bench again after 6 months but theres no chance of Arsenal sending him out on loan. Dubravka has looked way off it in his first two games. He's barely played in the last two years and hes 35 in January. I really dont think we can see out the season relying on him im afraid.

I expected a bit more resolve from us today. I know we're knackered but I wanted us to dig in a bit more and potentially catch them on the break but we sort of got caught in between sitting back and pressing high up the pitch and did neither. I think a lot of the chat round fatigue and players knowing we're down to our bare bones has got in their heads a bit. Isak looked fucked from the get go.
