  1. I did it when I was teaching, stepped down from a good job for the good of the kids. I made progress since but did it in a different field. That's all he needs to do. f*** off to league 2 and cut his jaundiced teeth down there. As it stands he's making himself a laughing stock and condemning us to ridicule and inadequacy. Too late now.

He will have seen how easy a job it was for good old Pards, and thought to himself that he could blag his way through it same as his old mate did. It's a symptom of what has become of English football. Have some agent contacts, make them good money by signing their players, make said players run around a bit, print out some inspirational s*** from the internet and hang it up in the dressing room, give sound bytes to the media, wave your hands around and gesture at refs, look happy or concerned depending on Saturday's result. Rinse and repeat. Easiest job in the fucking world.

  2. Amount of times he can't save headers seem you'd think somehow these scorers have channeled their inner Les Ferdinand or Alan Shearer or something.

His positioning is ridiculous. Man is wide shaping to cross a ball and Krul 'is still' covering his near post....Hence it takes him a lifetime to scuttle over and no chance to stop the header. Krul was actually in the back of the net.

This. I urge anyone to watch his positioning for WBA's goal the other week. His starting position was so wrong it boggled the mind. I was screaming at him before the kick came in that his left side was where it'll end up, and it ended up exactly there. Again, putting the blame solely on the players is wrong. There is clearly a coaching issue compounding these errors. He may be thick, but he isn't as useless as some here make out. He has massive potential, but for that potential to bloom, he needs to get his finger out AND has to be trained by someone who knows what they're doing.

  3. Alan Shearer ‏@alanshearer  3 mins3 minutes ago

Everyone's down on poor John Carver but I've got a lot to thank him for...he's making me look like Bob Paisley

Pity he wont say stuff like this on MOTD, though.

That can't be real surely?

It very much is real

  4. So Gutierrez skinned for one goal and Ryan Taylor at fault for another. Who'd have though that having two s*** footballers night come back and bite you on the arse.

First goal came from two pivotal moments when we concede possession needlessly. Sissoko had picked up the ball and was about to make a run through midfield when Colback for no explicable reason just walked straight into him. Then the lovable ginger Geordie lad also shirked a tackle like the cowardly pussy he is moments later, and Austin was on his way. Gutierrez was awful defending Austin, but it wasn't just his fault. Honorable mention to Krul's hospital kick which kept the pressure on instead of relieving it.

  5. Seeing him (and Taylor) visibly refuse to cross the halfway line against Swansea and WBA and provide support for the forwards was sickening. He was clearly following instructions from the lovable Geordie on the touchline no doubt. But it shows how little he understands football and his role in the team when he gladly obeys such moronic instructions from a clueless cunt.

  6. Waited around afterwards to ask Carver about the decision to start Raylor.

Shouted his name and he came over to sign autographs for some kids. Told him I wasn't there to abuse him and just wanted to ask him what his justification was for starting Taylor in midfield ahead of Anita/Abeid. No swearing, no shouting. He couldn't even look at me let alone respond, although you could see his nostrils flaring.

I don't know what I thought I'd achieve or expected him to say really, but just felt I had a right to ask him. Think even less of him than I did before for blanking me though - I thought the whole image/persona he presents is based on being able to front up and look people in the eye.

I thought he was one of us? One of the fans? One of the Geordies? A local lad? Heart on his sleeve? Bleeds black and white?

Also, how f***ing stupid do you have to be to want his autograph?

  7. I've never been a huge Gerrard fan, but he has been a great player for Liverpool and a great player for the league, and although he has never been the cleanest of players, he deserves recognition and he will be missed as a player. Our own Shearer was never the cleanest player let's not forget. The PL will be a lesser league without him. I've enjoyed watching him over the years like.

The PL has been without him for a couple of years now like. Liverpool's midfield might actually improve now that they don't have to give him his token appearances.

  8. Tantamount to throwing the game by doing nothing except trying to get a freekick or penalty for Gerrraaaaaaaahahlahlad to score from. If this was a friendly or his testimonial, then by all means. It's a competitive match, and had the result been important to CL/EL/relegation permutations, then it would have been completely unprofessional. Loathsome shithouse of a club.

  9. Keep hearing what a good coach Carver is but as Robbo_11 says never get behind a defence and threaten/create chances, defending is shamboliic & look at bigger danger to ourselves when we get a corner. Was the same under Pardew.

Pardew was an incompetent clown that only did the team talks and picked the team. Carver is a useless piece of shit coach that has "trained" this team since he came back to the club.

  10. Krul is s***. Hope the few that continue to defend him or like him can see that after today.

He got nowhere near that shot from Fer and it wasn't even hit with a lot of venom and he wasn't even miles to the other side of the goal either.

It was the kick that was the most infuriating. We're immediately on the backfoot following any kick he does

His kicking is fucking shit, and he has to shoulder his share of the blame. Let's not forget though that he's coached by a drunk who has failed to help him improve his kicking in years. Another clear sign that we do NOTHING in training.

  11. He will pick the same team next week guaranteed.  Taylor in CM

Yes because he's too thick to realize that both goals came courtesy of our non-existent midfield. And he's too thick to realize that we created almost nothing because we had no way to move the ball from the back to the front. He'll look at the foreign lads first, point to their mistakes, replace them with good old English if he can.

Utter fucking cretin, and some on here "don't hate him". He's up there with al pards in the hate stakes for me.

  12. Jack Colback and Ryan Taylor in central midfield.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Big Geordie, if you get on the phone-in today please make sure to talk about this? We're clearly fucking shit, but decisions like this one to play that midfield are being missed by the media, and Carver continues to get an easy ride. It's fucking criminal.

How anyone still thinks Colback isn't a shirking hiding cunt is beyond me. As bad as his pathetic captain.

  13. Who's that back row 3rd from the right. He's on sky sports now but I can't for the life of me think of his name.

Tony Gale.  He's an utter cockwomble.

Cannot f***ing stand that prick. One of the 'proper football man' types who is clearly thick as pig s*** and waffles on and on about getting men in the box etc etc

Isn't he the resident Pardhoop licker extraordinare?

  14. It sounds cruel but there's something wrong when Harry Kane is getting more PL goals than Sergio Aguero, so I'm supremely glad that isn't going to be the case.

Know what you're saying but unfortunately Aguero's injuries always mean he's missing for long periods in a season.

  15. The difference between "night & day" Carvie Lickolls was on about was due to fact that supercunt Williamson wasn't in the team. Despite the ridiculous marking for the goal (Raylor should not have been the one marking Anichebe ffs), we looked more assured at the back. There was none of this useless bumbling around like a drunken horse we usually get from good old iron mike, and the hoofball to short pass ratio, although still relatively high, was nowhere near what it usually is. Granted it was Pulis' WBA we were playing, but still, an improvement overall

Dummett played a huge role in that, and I have to say, even captain Scribe was better than his usual self, at time bringing the ball out of defence. Granted it was Pulis' WBA we were playing, but still, an improvement overall that should give the players confidence going into the next game, with Janmaat and co coming back as well.

  16. No issues at all with keeping him on for a very specific role - coming on as sub when winning to relieve pressure in central midfield by hassling and harrying and winning freekicks. In-game management and nowt else. May be useful cover for freak injury/suspension situations, but I don't think overall his wages would justify it. Needs to be under an actual football manager though.

Having said that, in terms of how we treated him during his ordeal, I wouldn't begrudge him a 2 year contract extension from a "human" point of view.

I would absolutely LOVE for him to somehow score before the end of the season. I would genuinely celebrate my ass off like we've won something. What a big FUCK YOU that would be to a horrible disease.
